Elyssa and John’s luxurious wedding day embodied their love of the ocean with a modern take on a neutral color palette. Making for a memorable location, Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida, hosted their celebration. This remarkable pink hotel was built in the 1920s and included stunning architecture, elegant hallways, wrought iron chandeliers, and one-of-a-kind entryways for photo ops.
Proposal Story
Neither Elyssa nor John expected to meet their future partner in the world of orthodontia. John was Elyssa’s mentor during her orthodontics residency. The couple jokes that they fell in love after spending hours together talking about teeth. John proposed to Elyssa on a romantic trip to Barcelona, where they wandered down a side street after an incredible dinner out in the city.

Elyssa wore a fitted crepe gown by Jane Hill, which offered a high-fashion feel to the timeless silhouette. She paired this look with stunning natural three-stone earrings that gave her look a beachy detail and changed into a halter jumpsuit for the reception.
Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridal party wore the prettiest array of seashell-approved neutrals in the tones of blush, taupe, champagne, and lilac.

Elyssa and John had several food stations for their reception, including a carving station, a mac & cheese station, and a "Taste of St. Petersburg" station which included grouper sliders and Cuban sandwiches.
Florals & Decor
A heavenly reception arch was set at the altar, made up of subdued pink, peach, and blue flowers. Transforming for the reception, the outdoor space was set with washed-out blue linens, golden accents, and floral arrangements in every direction. Guests dined outdoors with a dreamy view of Tampa Bay.
Wedding Cake
The couple's monochromatic cake included four tiers and an array of neutral roses gathered on the side.
