Fall Wedding at Addison Grove With Western Style

My inspiration was drawn from wanting to combine modern boho with a western/rustic style and design. With our wedding being at the beginning of fall, it was a perfect opportunity to use a beautiful fall color palette. We also wanted to incorporate a lot of personal details throughout the day to make it more special for us and for our guests. Some of these details were the cowhide branding during the ceremony with our personal brand, personalized thank you notes, postcard guest book, and much more!

My wedding gown was designed by Katy Corso and purchased from Blush Bridal Lounge in Austin,Texas. I fell in love with my gown because of its fit and uniquely textured fabric. It was a fitted gown with a sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves. I chose to pair a set of perl sleeves with the gown to make the whole look come together.

Bridesmaids were given a color palette (Champagne, gold, neutral tones in satin fabric) and from there they had the freedom to choose any style dress they felt the most beautiful in!

The groomsmen wore tan linen suits with a champagne tie and brown shoes/cowboy boots. Suits were rented suits from Men’s Warehouse.

Our wedding’s florals were put together by the amazing Native Bloom, the onsite florist at the Addison Grove!! The florals are truly what brought my vision to life and helped to make our wedding as beautiful as it was. For my bouquet, I went for an organic, lush, floral-forward bouquet with lots of color. For the bridesmaid’s bouquets, we went for monochromatic arrangements so that each bridesmaid had their own unique bouquet and each was given out based on personality and what matched their dress the best! Overall, the florals helped bring our boho western vision together and brought so much color and life to the space while also complimenting the stunning Addison Grove venue.

My favorite design element, besides the gorgeous florals, would have to be the cowhide seating chart. I had a vision for this seating chart for months and it was so great to work with my mom and husband to create such a beautiful focal point. Nate built the wooden arch for the cowhide to be hung on, I designed all the acrylic sheets in canva, and my mother (owner of the newly started business “Etch & Burn ATX”) etched out the designs with her laser etching machine.

All of the wood signage (unplugged sign, bar sign, guest book sign, dessert menu, gift table sign), the seating chart, and name tags attached to the thank you cards were designed by the bride in canva and etched by her mother, owner of Etch and Burn ATX. The guest book was inspired by mine and Nate’s travels together so I created postcards from all the places we have been together for our guests to write a message on. For the favors, we gave away tic-tacs (a large part of our love story… Nate proposed with a box of tic tacs … and a ring!) and I (the Bride) designed and printed the labels, it was a group effort to put them all on the tic-tac boxes. I also hand wrote/drew all the table numbers and made the welcome mirror and “hello darling” mirrors with a cricut machine.

The thing that helped me the most when choosing design elements for our big day was sticking to a single color palette, theme, and design while also staying true to what Nate and I loved without focusing too much on being trendy. From the beginning, we knew we wanted a modern western flare throughout the day so incorporating those elements in small pieces throughout the space really helped bring everything together.
