Sage Green And White Spring Wedding in Florence

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Florence and the Tuscan region as a whole is classically beautiful and romantic, and we wanted to stay true to this. We wanted to celebrate our love with a classically romantic and elegant wedding that fit flawlessly within the walls of Villa Cora. Roses were a big inspiration – from the florals to the menus, place settings and overall color scheme. We wanted this to be an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family, where love and intimacy was felt by all. Place settings included our favorite quotes about love written by great writers and poets, and at the end of dinner, guests were surprised with handwritten letters by the bride and groom. These details were so important to us, because we were incredibly grateful that guests had made the trip to celebrate with us in our favorite city of Florence.
Proposal Story
Dave proposed to me (Colbie) at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. in June 2022. My Parents (Mr. and Mrs. Errico) got engaged in this very spot which made it incredibly special. We both reside in Washington, D.C. and the picturesque Jefferson Memorial is one of Colbie’s favorite places in D.C.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown

The wedding gown is the Bobbie dress by Justin Alexander. It has an intricate sweetheart style boustier which is designed with individually laser-cut flowers of different shapes and sizes and drapes over the shoulders, which the bride removed for portions of the evening and wore as a strapless dress. The long satin train contains satin-covered buttons all the way down the back of the dress, and a slit in the front allows for the bride to show some leg as well. The dress was described as romantic and classic, with a unique twist. It was purchased in Charleston, South Carolina at Bridal House of Charleston.

Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridesmaids wore floor-length rose blush bridesmaids dresses by Show Me Your Mumu, all in different styles.
Groomsman Attire
Groomsmen looked classically handsome in their tuxes.
The Details
Food & Drink
Following a romantic ceremony, guests were invited to the Mirror Room for an sit-down dinner. Their tablescape featured dark cream linens, decorative floral displays, and gold stick candelabrums. The dining area was surrounded by floor-to-ceiling gold crown moldings, mirrors, and classic Italian artwork, all creating the ultimate dinner destination. The guests indulged a delicious Italian dinner  as tomato lasagnetta, pasta Caccio e Peppe, beef fillet, and a vanilla sorbet with the strawberry coulis on top.
Florals & Decor

The begging of June is the season of flowers and blooms. The florists Jardin Divers used the most romantic flowers as roses adding some greenery to create a stunning wedding arch. The ceremony aisle were decorated with teh same flowers to create a continued flower line. For the wedding reception decor the florist used many different heights vases with roses and greenery. A special touch was added ny gold color candelabras.

Wedding Cake
The spouses cut in the garden a four layers sponge cake with the fresh Chantilly cream, chocolate drops and raspberries decorated with fresh flowers just one minute before the fireworks. They enjoyed the glass of prosecco and their first piece of the cake watching the pyrotechnical show.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs

The ceremony was intimate and had religious moments where guests bowed their heads to pray and friends and family read passages from the bible. The flower girl and ring bearer(s) were the bride and grooms sweet nieces and nephews, and they did a great job. 😊 The couple’s first dance was to “Lover” by Taylor Swift.
