From Hannah and Ajay – We wanted to create an atmosphere and ambiance that was a reflection of us and our relationship. The vision for our wedding was timeless and romantic with intimate details that made our wedding stand out to our guests. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the guidance of our wedding planner, Hailey Lillard of Detailed Touch Events. She is the epitome of what you should look for in a wedding planner. She has amazing relationships with her vendors, she is extremely organized, she has strong communication and has the ability to bring your vision to life. We couldn’t have done it without her and her team. From DTE – From a design perspective, I was inspired by the innate beauty of the Hummingbird Nest Ranch venue. The specific area of the venue that Hannah and Ajay chose for their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were already incredibly beautiful, and I wanted the design to complement rather than compete with these natural surroundings. Initially, they were inclined towards a traditional palette of whites and greenery, but when I introduced subtle accents of blush pink and powder blue, they absolutely loved it. This color palette was a subtle yet effective way to introduce depth and softness to prevent the design elements from falling flat within the natural greenery of the venue. One of the highlights of the wedding design, for me, was bringing Hannah’s vision of a canopy of twinkling lights to life above the reception area. Set in an open grassy field, it created a warm, intimate, and inviting atmosphere for all the guests to enjoy.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]From Bride & Groom, Hannah & Ajay – We never imagined two kids falling in love in high school would lead us to where we are today. Ajay got the desire to propose after he gazed into our puppy Jaxxon’s eyes and he knew in that moment that it was time to get down on one knee after 11 years of being together. Jaxxon played such a big role in the proposal that we knew that he had to be incorporated into our special day. Not only did he attend our wedding but he was featured in many details of our wedding.[/field]

Appetizers and dinner were provided by Command Performance Catering. Hannah and Ajay were dedicated to infusing their personal touch into every aspect of their wedding day, and the menu was no exception. Blueberries from Ajay’s family farm adorned their salad and plated dessert, a delightful apple blueberry crumble served with vanilla ice cream. Pistachios from the family farm were also featured in the pistachio-crusted halibut dinner option. To cap off the night, guests enjoyed burgers and chips from Hannah and Ajay’s favorite burger joint, In-N-Out, courtesy of a fun food truck that arrived during the dancing festivities. Hannah and Ajay had a playful touch in naming their specialty cocktails. One was dubbed ‘Mungers,’ a classic mix of Tito’s vodka, cranberry, and lime. The other was named ‘The Jaxx’ after their beloved dog, featuring tequila on the rocks garnished with a French bulldog stir stick and accompanied by a custom sketch of Jaxx on a cocktail napkin.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The wedding reception showcased a thoughtful blend of aesthetics and comfort. The design combined farm chairs with elegant cane back chairs, creating an interesting contrast that emphasized the rustic-meets-elegant theme. Neutral and textured table linens were thoughtfully chosen, introducing a soft and inviting ambiance to the space. Crisp white hemstitch napkins were carefully coordinated with the white flower arrangements, providing a clean and cohesive look that felt both classic and contemporary. To enhance the atmosphere with a touch of romance, taper candles were incorporated into the tabletop design.
The florals were designed to compliment the outdoor setting, striking the perfect balance between loose and tightly arranged florals. Soft hints of blush and blues were introduced adding a beautiful dimension of tones to the tabletop decor.
Additionally, comfortable lounge sets were strategically positioned, flanking the seamless white dance floor. These lounge areas provided guests with cozy spaces to relax and socialize, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all. Of course, we cannot forget the blanket of twinkle lights strung above the guests as they enjoyed the night away![/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]At first Hannah and Ajay weren’t interested in having a cake, however it was a very important wedding tradition that the father of the groom wanted them to incorporate. The couple’s idea of a modest single tier, cake just for the cake cutting tradition, quickly turned into a multi-tiered buttercream cake that featured their dog Jax after they met with the amazing Kimberly of The Butter End. [field title=”Special Detail #1″]We incorporating details that are meaningful to Hannah and Ajay. The first one being incorporating Ajay’s 1956 Ford F100 Restomod truck which is a family heirloom. Ajay and Hannah drove the truck up to their reception during the grand entrance and exited out of the truck to the reception. It was a hit amongst the guests! The second being included their dog Jaxx into numerous design elements such as a specialty cocktail name, cocktail napkins, french bulldog stir sticks, a fondant replica of him on their wedding cake and my favorite being a drawing of Jaxx on Hannah’s reception sneakers. [field title=”Special Detail #2″]The couple absolutely loved including a painter on their wedding day to capture their wedding ceremony. She started at the ceremony site and then moved to the reception space to complete the portrait. During the reception, she unveiled the painting to the couple and they absolutely loved it.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Their invitation envelope liner as well as the illustration of the wedding venue was done by a dear friend of Hannah and Ajay’s. It was incredibly special to them to include this personal element into their wedding invitations. [/field]
