A Late Summer Wedding at Holman Ranch in Neutral Hues
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Our vision was to create a very elegant and sophisticated vibe, yet easy and fun. We wanted a calm environment and felt that was created through our neutral color scheme but still wanted people to let loose and celebrate. We had the absolute best vendor team that made our vision come to life through every detail.
Proposal Story
We both grew up in the Bay Area and visiting Santa Cruz was something we did very frequently. Nico’s family is from the area and it’s where we went on our first date. Nico proposed at a beach in front of his family’s home. It was very sweet and intimate and just the two of us which is exactly what we wanted.

The Fashion
Wedding Gown
My wedding gown was from Martina Liana. It was a dream and absolute perfection. I wanted something simple, elegant, and timeless and this embodied all of that. My second look was a custom dress from Lace & Liberty in San Francisco. It was everything and I absolutely fell in love with it.
Bridesmaid Dresses
Bridesmaids dresses were from Kennedy Blue. They were great to work with. Everything was on time and you can order color swatches and a sample dress before placing an order which really helped me make a decision.
Groomsman Attire
We rented classic black suits for the groomsmen from a local store called Tuxedo Fashions. They were awesome and the order came with everything we needed including ties, shirts, and shoes. The groom wore a custom tailored suit by Canali, a white Eton shirt, a black silk Zegna tie, and black Oxford shoes.

Cocktail Hour
The Details
Food & Drink
We had appetizers passed around during the cocktail hour which included mini lobster rolls, vegan rainbow rolls, and seared ahi tuna wontons. We also had a tomato and mozzarella bar for grazing. We had a plated dinner that included rustic bread and tie dye butter, a peach and baby greens salad, and three dinner options: seared salmon or mesquite grilled tri-tip with chimichurri or butternut squash ravioli. At the end of the night we passed around mini chicken and waffle bites and mac and cheese grilled cheese bites. We had three signature drinks: a classic margarita with sage simple syrup, a citrus gin fizz and a whiskey sour with blood orange.
Florals & Decor
Flowers were something very important to us from the start. We had a vision and Gavita nailed it. We wanted something elegant, sophisticated, timeless, calming, yet fresh and fun. It was Provence inspired so our color scheme was neutral tones, white, & cream with accents of gold and silver.
Wedding Cake
We both love cake and wanted our guests to have a few options. Our favorite was lemon cake with strawberry buttercream. We also had a vanilla almond cake with raspberry buttercream and a bittersweet chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. All the flavors were to die for.
