We focused on modern white and green themes for our decoration, as we asked our guests to wear bright and colorful formal wear inspired by the colors of sunset.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

A clifftop wedding of our dreams. Since Bali is where we got engaged, it holds a very special place in our hearts, so we decided to celebrate our wedding there. Villa Anugrah – our venue location was nothing short of spectacular as it had every element we wanted. The bluest water of the Indian Ocean, a scenic sunset and white sand as the villa is perched directly above the world’s most famous surf beach. Our vision was to have an elegant & timeless decor that incorporates all the stunning natural views with a focus on a warm color palette, lush flowers and soft fabrics that work in harmony, all enveloped in the glow of candlelight. An ethereal, sophisticated and luxurious feel was highly important to us.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Being in a long distance relationship isn’t easy, so we made sure that we met every 4-6 weeks as I was living in the Philippines and he was based in Singapore. We went to Bali to celebrate his and his sister’s Birthday as it is one of our favorite places. After a few days of festivities with our family and friends he arranged a different hotel to stay at for a couple of days. We checked in at Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua and he got down on one knee in our room. It was all that I needed, just us with our promises to each other. It was simple, beautiful and meaningful.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

My wedding gown made me feel regal, beautiful and elegant. I wore a customized Boom Sason Full French Lace Gown. I worked closely with my designer from the Philippines to bring my vision to life. To create this design, we used two types of exquisite french lace accompanied by premium italian crepe for the base. The silhouette was her signature style – relaxed serpentine with a train. Boom and her team also designed a special pattern for my veil so all the lace appliques were individually and lovingly hand sewn. The lace carries very delicate elements – it had to look rich but not be too heavy. This complemented my overall look. A truly classic gown with elegant details. Wearing my dream gown made me feel like the most beautiful bride.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]It’s tradition for a bride to have something old, something new, something blue and something borrowed. I decided that my bridesmaids are going to be my ‘Something Blue’. My bridesmaids wore shades of blue with floral prints and had their gowns’ own designs reflect individual personalities while keeping the theme in mind. They all wore their gowns beautifully.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen wore linen blue jackets and blue collared shirts that matched the color theme of the bridesmaids. Everyone looked sleek and sharp.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Bali Miracle surely brought their magic with food and presentation. Our guest enjoyed assorted canapes at the reception area during cocktail hour. We were treated to a 4 course meal for dinner starting with Pacific King Crab Salad, Lobster and Coconut Bisque, Grilled Wagyu Beef Steak and Moscato Poached Pear paired with their drink of choice. The dessert bar was a fun addition too. We set up 3 different open bars around the venue that also serve His & Her signature drinks. His was an old-fashioned drink and hers was a lychee martini. Drinks were overflowing all the way to the after party where the theme was disco.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We wanted to fill up the venue with beautiful white flowers and some greenery to make it seem like a beautiful floating garden as we were on a cliffside. We used white tulips, pikok flower, white matthiola, white lisianthus, roses, baby breath, calalily, carnations and amimajus. We wanted to incorporate some balinese design as well, so as soon as the guest walked in, they were welcomed with 3 tiered balinese umbrella that was in every pillar from the hallway all the way to the lobby while listening to ‘Rindik’ (balinese traditional musical instrument) being played live at the reception area. A full gallery of our engagement photos were on display at the lobby. We had a floating stage built in the middle of the pool as our aisle and altar with the dramatic Indian ocean and skyline as a backdrop. The aisle was filled with beautiful flowers and fairy lights. A truly lush setting.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Our wedding cake was a 3 tiered chocolate moist cake covered in vanilla icing by Bali Miracle.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]We had a violinist play each song we chose for walking down the aisle – Mirror by Justin Timberlake and Golden Hour by JVKE. Our brother-in-law officiated our wedding beautifully as everyone was in the moment during the ceremony. We also had a 7 piece band during dinner and a DJ that played during cocktail hour and at our after party.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]In memory of and to honor my lovely mother, Bernadette, we dedicated a front row seat for her filled with beautiful flowers, her portrait and a framed message that said ‘Mommy, please watch over us’ during the entire wedding ceremony. I felt my mom’s presence and love from above blessing us at my wedding.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Our ‘One Day Away’ Welcome/Rehearsal Dinner was a perfect way to start the celebration. We booked Sadara Resort in Nusa Dua for a perfect dinner and drinks by the beach. Our guests enjoyed our open bar as soon as they arrived. Our caterers prepared a full Indonesian buffet for guests to enjoy.

The venue was decorated exactly how we envisioned it, maybe more. Our decorators and organizers had set up the place with full candlelight centerpieces on very long rectangular tables, and finished it with the hanging incandescent lights which felt like it covered the entire venue. We wanted it to be simple and romantic, such a dream. We wanted to give our guests a completely different experience.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]A surprise fireworks display during our first dance, and a same day edit video that made us all very emotional.[/field]
