A Classic Tennessee Country Club Wedding
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
The vision for the wedding was “southern garden chic” and the Whitney Bowman Events team made the vision come to life with the help of a talented vendor team.
We wanted the wedding to feel elegant and timeless and the reception truly looked like a scene from Bridgerton.
Proposal Story
Emily and TJ first met as interns working for the same investment banking firm. They became fast friends, eating lunch together every day. Eventually, their work took them in different directions. The two remained in touch, and ultimately ended up back at the same firm together. They started dating a month later. Their relationship came very easily given their strong foundation as friends. After dating for about 3 years, we went on a vacation to St. Thomas in the U.S.V.I's. TJ planned the perfect proposal overlooking the ocean. He got down on one knee during dinner and Emily said it was the easiest yes! They followed their USVI trip with a trip to Kiawah Island, SC, to celebrate their engagement with both families.

With impeccable service from the Cherokee staff, Emily and TJ served their guests a grilled filet with crab cakes, paired with yukon gold potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Florals & Decor
The talented Colby West made the floral vision come to life with peonies, roses and greenery scattered throughout the reception. Guests entered the ballroom to Jackson Vine accenting the draping, tied back with blooms. A full wreath of greenery and florals hung under each chandelier. The tables were adorned with a mix of high and low arrangements and gobs of candlelight

The six-tier cake was show stopping moment in the ballroom. Adorned with 3d florals to match Emily's dress, and atop a bed of florals, guests enjoyed a vanilla and chocolate chips cake with buttercream icing.

Emily always dreamed of getting married in the church where she grew up and went to school. The recently remodeled Sacred Heart Cathedral served as the perfect backdrop to say "I Do."
