Most floral designers prefer a creative process that transcends social media, but none of us can avoid its influence. And in all reality, social media can introduce you to some of the most stunning floral talent and floral creativity. The key is to embrace social with just a little savvy, and create strategies that save yourself from nights of endless scrolling!

For example, some Instagram users have created floral feeds so exquisite that they rival the pages of any high fashion magazine. If you want to use Instagram as a kind of search engine, use simple and clear hashtags: #floraldesign, #florist, #floralinspo, #weddingflowers, and #florallove to point you to any number of talented artists. The eco-friendly bride will love the #slowflowers movement, which connects brides with domestic flower farms and the artists who design with sustainably-grown flowers.
