From the Bride: “Our vision for the wedding was to blend the elegance of a French chateau with the timeless charm of the The Red Fox Inn & Tavern. We wanted to preserve the inn’s natural allure while adding our own personal touches. To add a down-to-earth touch and set the tone for a lively celebration, we chose to have our cocktail hour in the historic tavern. It was the perfect way to get everyone in the mood to dance the night away. I believe from the photos that Sarah Shank Photography has taken, it does an amazing job showing you what it looked like and felt like. From the moment we set eyes on the Red Fox Inn, long before our engagement, we knew it was going to be where we got married. This historical boutique inn and tavern exudes a unique comfortable charm and chic atmosphere that simply felt right. Stepping onto its grounds felt like entering a different era, far away from the hustle and bustle of DC, making it an ideal location for our special day (But only an hour away).”

From The Bride: “I really wanted something that felt modern yet timeless, and the first designer that popped into my mind was Monique Lhuillier. I fell head over heels for this gorgeous ballgown with a modern twist that still had that elegant touch. What really stole my heart was the beautiful lace on the gown – it just added that romantic vibe I wanted my friends and family to feel throughout the wedding. I also added a long veil to keep with the romantic charm feeling of the overall wedding. And speaking of charm, my mom and I couldn’t get enough of how guests dress at the Royal English Weddings. That’s what inspired my mom’s dress for the big day. We found this incredible designer, Suzannah London, who also created Kate Middleton’s mother’s wedding attire.”

From The Bride: “My sister, who was also my Maid of Honor, also found her dream dress from Monique Lhuillier. It was a huge hit, and the best part is that she can totally wear it to other events too. The dress was comfortable and fun for her to dance in, which was the best part. I also wanted her to feel special!”

From The Bride: his inspiration was simply James Bond. That classic luxury fabric-type tuxedo was the perfect choice for him. So, we decided to go the extra mile and get a custom tux from Brimble And Clark, which made him look so sophisticated.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

From The Bride: “Jonathan (the groom) made our escort wall. Having previously created escort walls for Sweet Root Village, it was only fitting for him to make one for our day. Our vision was to transform the tent into something beyond the typical setup, and Jonathan’s chateau walls did just that – adding fun and elegance to the entire ambiance. Our guests’ food and drinks were a top priority, and we wanted them to be surrounded by treats and drinks throughout the celebration. The macarons from Laudree were an absolute hit, not to mention the charming boxes they came in! Signature cocktails were a must, and we chose two distinct options to set the mood. The French 75 bar, courtesy of the Red Fox, welcomed our guests upon arrival in the ceremony gardens, setting the perfect tone from the very beginning. And our playfully exquisite French martini was visually pleasing and a crowd-pleaser and the dance floor showed it. Jonathan and I were adamant about making the food a standout feature of our wedding. We wanted our guests to leave raving about the culinary experience. And let me tell you, if you ever get a chance to taste the Red Fox Inn’s food, you’ll understand all the excitement. Their dishes are crafted using fresh ingredients from the Virginia Piedmont region, bringing a perfect blend of casual sophistication that appeals to everyone. From hand-cut steaks to mouthwatering mini bacon jam burgers for those late-night bites, they truly can do it all. The variety and quality of their offerings ensured that our guests enjoyed every single bite, and it left a lasting impression that everyone is still raving about.”

From The Bride: “Sweet Root Village worked wonders for our wedding day! Jonathan worked with the Sweet Root Village Team for several years, so having them attend our wedding and help design and create our floral and décor was an honor. Their talent and expertise in the wedding industry are undeniable, and we felt grateful to have them be a part of our celebration. Their ability to understand and bring our vision to life was remarkable. The flowers they crafted were absolutely stunning and added that touch of romantic whimsy we were seeking. They played a key role in seamlessly tying all the colors together, creating a beautiful and cohesive atmosphere. We couldn’t have been happier with Sweetroot Village’s contributions to our big day. Their professionalism and creativity made the experience truly enjoyable, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch wedding services. They helped make our wedding day even more magical!”

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]From The Bride: “Our wedding cake experience was super fun! We wanted to make it extra special by involving our family and friends in decision-making. So, we embarked on a fun cake-tasting party with various flavors from different bakeries, and not to our surprise, everyone unanimously fell in love with CakeBee!

The flavor selection turned out to be the biggest challenge. We couldn’t settle on just one, so we decided on having two flavors: Almond Raspberry and Strawberry Lemonade. They were a hit, bringing that playful and refreshing twist.

As for the design, we aimed for a whimsical touch to blend with our wedding decor. Thanks to CakeBee’s incredible talent, the cake was adorned with the most beautiful sugar flowers, creating an enchanting centerpiece!”[/field]
