Subdued White Florals and All Night Dancing in Rutherford, California

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Five hundred meters down a tree-lined road lies Beaulieu Garden, an understated yet breathtaking family estate and vineyard in Rutherford, California. Karin and Patrick planned an intimate event laced with classic touches throughout. Florals and rentals provided by Le Bloomerie and Theoni Collection were kept to white, taupe, and blush shades to allow the natural beauty of the venue (and the couple!) to shine. A local artisan dinner prepared by Paula LeDuc Catering was served to guests seated at long, family-style tables beneath a softly-lift sycamore tree canopy. Heartfelt speeches gave way to a non-stop dance party helmed by Ben Mallare Events & Entertainment.
The Details
Food & Drink
Passed hors d’oeuvres included halibut tartare, chicken wonton tacos, and fennel risotto fritters topped with heirloom tomato chutney. Accompanying cocktail hour was a local artisan cheese station paired with seasonal fruit chutneys, walnut levain, and charcuterie. Dinner was crafted by Katie DiStefano of Paula LeDuc Catering, and featured slow roasted halibut with preserved lemon, pistachio, caper, pee wee potato, crispy leek, crisp green vegetables, and yuzu vinaigrette, along with slow roasted ribeye with smoky corn puree, heirloom summer squash, green-garlic butter.
Florals & Decor
The simplicity of elegant white and taupe florals accented each element of the evening. Melissa Sullivan of Le Bloomerie crafted a small but artful bouquet of sweet peas and white cloud and Eugenie garden roses to compliment the bride. A broken arch full of white garden roses and aisle florals lined white hydrangeas, lisianthus, and delphinium provided the backdrop for ceremony. Floral runners full of David Austin roses, ranunculus, tweedia, garden sprays filled each reception table for guests to gaze at over dinner.
Wedding Cake
The couple opted for Flour & Bloom's signature Vanilla Cake with Raspberry Buttercream and Raspberry Preserves. Owner Ora Beth Mika says, "We love a striking white cake, but these graceful fondant petals make it extra special. Each petal is individually made in sugar and creates a textured canvas for the full cascade of fresh blooms in subtle neutrals to rest. It’s a classic with a twist."
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
Following dinner and toasts, Ben Mallare Events & Entertainment invited guests to gather around the dance floor, where Karin and Patrick enjoyed their first dance to "Can't Help Falling in Love" - the classic Elvis version. Karin and her father shared a special moment dancing to "Have It Told You Lately" by Van Morrison. From there, Ben and his band led guests through 90 minutes of uninterrupted, high energy party music, featuring songs by Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Daft Punk, The Killers, and many more.
Special Detail #1
At 10:00, the entire party moved to Inglenook Winery. Guests turned up to a DJ provided by Entire Productions while enjoying some of Karin and Patrick's favorite late night treats. At the after party guests took part in a cigar lounge, interactive photo booth and danced into the early morning with glow sticks and other fun party props.
