[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Tymorie and Elias had 3 events during their wedding week – rehearsal dinner at Acre, welcome party and the weddign day both at The Cape. For the wedding colors: white, cream, neutrals, blush, and a punch of black.

For the rehearsal dinner at Acre: wood, ivory, and tropical greenery. All of the guests wore white![/field]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The Cape has a very specific retro surf vibe, so I wanted the design aesthetic to compliment our surroundings and have a bit of earthiness and texture to it but also contrast with some pretty neutral softness. Their entire celebration was focused on relaxed elegance where the details and customization were intentional and purposeful, but guests were able to enjoy every moment, soak in the scenery, and have fun! Tymorie and Elias were the best hosts for their guests![/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the bride: We met 10 years prior to our dating. He was a client in the very first salon I worked in, and all the older ladies wanted to set us up. When he finally sat in my chair, he was all business and definitely didn’t seem interested. While we realized we had many mutual friends, we found ourselves running into each other over the course of 10 years. We reconnected after I ended a bad relationship, and the rest was history. I knew he was everything I was waiting for my whole life, just after one date. We were inseparable from that moment on. We dated for 2 years before he proposed.

He chose a random day to throw me off. It was a normal Saturday where we met family for brunch. We were casual and it was THE last thing I expected. After our day, he took me to “meet” some other friends for a sunset and cocktails on the beach. When we arrived and our friends were not there, I immediately felt his nervousness as we were standing at a lookout spot. Before I knew it he was down on a knee and I was so emotional and happy, I literally blacked out! A photographer popped out of the bushes and our friends came running to us. It was perfect for us in every way![/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Texture was important in the florals. Dried florals and palms paired with soft blooms were the main focus. The Bride’s bouquet was hand tied in an organic shape using lisianthus, roses, rehydrated bleached material and seasonal blooms [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]No cake here! They had a plated dessert trio at the end of dinner and late-night churros with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces so guests could grab and get back on the dance floor![/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]We had a mariachi band play once Tymorie and Elias kissed at the end of the ceremony and then they all led guests to cocktail hour! What a way to kick-off the celebration!

The fireworks to open the dance floor were a surprise from the groom to the bride! Her reaction was incredible and it was such a heartfelt moment. Everyone rushed the dance floor – the energy was insane and the DJ kept it going![/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Each guest was welcomed in their hotel room with a custom woven tote complete with tequila, shot glasses and a hangover kit. Such a festive surprise![/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]From the bride: I knew I wanted to enjoy the process of planning without being burnt out by the end. All I wanted was the best night with sentimental touches. Elias wanted over the top. Michelle Garibay, our wedding planner is a master at her craft and when all three of us connected so quickly, I knew her professional vision was going to create something so much more grand and beautiful than we ever could. We picked a venue that absolutely suited us and our vision, so I knew I wanted Michelle to tie in the aspects of the hotel. She did, and BEYOND. It was more beautiful than I could have ever pictured.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Their beloved chocolate Lab Finley was present as well in the custom cocktail napkins and the signature cocktail was named after him (and he was a delish skinny, spicy margarita!). There was even a cutout of him manning the bar!

From the bride: Being a Covid couple, we had to reschedule our date 3 times. Over the course of the year delay, we wondered if we would ever get to have the wedding we were so patiently waiting for. When it finally happened, all of our guests, especially us, were so ready to experience life after the shutdowns. The hype and excitement from postponing made our day THAT much more spectacular and the energy of our guests was unmatched! We loved the intimate and exclusive feel of a smaller resort. The hotel is immaculate in every way. And the modern touches of the resort with the views of the ocean allowed us to have a dressier destination wedding. We didn’t want to be casual. We wanted elegance on vacation!
