Pulled from the archives, this Rehearsal Dinner color palette was designed around the incomparable old-world European aesthetic of the Haiku Mill. Dripping with greenery and foliage, the venue is already stunning. To compliment the bright orange blooms falling from the Mill’s ceiling, Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning and Design incorporated vibrant hues of yellow to bring a burst of color to the space! Undertones of soft ivory complimented the luminosity perfectly.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]From the Bride: “Maggy is an artist, dancer, and yogi, Boudhi is an intellectual, business man, musician, sustainable farmer.” When considering this couple, Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning and Design knew that their Rehearsal Dinner design needed to marry the many facets of their varied cultural alliances. Elegance and class were immediately achieved within the scope of their tailored rentals and chandelier lighting. Bohemian vibes were brought in with the couple’s attire, the exquisite table runners, and the overgrown lushness of the property. The Groom’s Middle Eastern heritage inspired the bright color concept and the Family Style dinner service. Pairing all of this with an exceptional playlist by KCK Entertainment, the overall ambiance was nothing short of perfection![/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the Bride: “Abdullah proposed in a London after we went to an ABBA dinner theatre with his aunt, that we didn’t know any lyrics to, and after a discussion where we firmly decided to have children.”[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The Bride chose a stunning, backless, crochet gown in ivory for the Rehearsal Dinner, which paired perfectly with BBJ La Tavola’s newest collection of table runners in ivory crochet lace. [/field]

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The Bride spoiled her Bridesmaids with gowns both for the Rehearsal Dinner and for the Wedding Day! Draped in complimenting hues of greens, both patterned and solid, the Bride’s besties surrounded her throughout the evening. [/field]

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The Groom radiated culture in this exquisite tailored jacket and hat. Nodding to both his Middle Eastern roots and his bohemian preferences, his deep evergreen tones complimented our Bride’s brilliant ruby hair perfectly.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were treated to an infusion of cultures within this Rehearsal Dinner experience! Cutting Edge Catering served family style platters of cuisine with local Kumu Farms mixed greens, Hawaiian rangers Ribeye, Fresh Hawaiian Catch, Summer Squash, Rosemary Garlic potatoes, Local asparagus with pancetta, and lemongrass jasmine rice.

Garnish Craft Cocktail spoiled guests with a fully hosted antique bar, tray passed welcome bubbles, and tableside wine service throughout the evening. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Maggy and Abdulla expressed the importance of a Family Style meal for their intimate Rehearsal Dinner. In an attempt to marry the culinary experience with the décor, Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning and Design partnered with Dellables Floral Design to create custom floral centerpieces encased in clear acrylic vessels, upon which the platters of farm-to-table menu items were placed. This allowed both décor and cuisine to span the tablescape without a feeling of clutter.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]In lieu of hosting a traditional Groom’s Cake for this Rehearsal Dinner, Maggy and Abdulla opted for a duo dessert option: one nodding to the Hawaiian Tradition and one nodding to the Groom’s Middle Eastern roots. Guests enjoyed both a cracked coconut panna cotta with spiced kiawe honey and chocolate sorbet and a traditional pistachio baklava.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]From the Bride: “We both feel incredibly grateful to have each other. We feel very blessed and privileged and want to share that with the world and with those we love. Family is very important to us. Abdullah’s daughter Riley is a top priority. We are both easy going and want to create numerous homes around the world, while building community, and a family with children and pets.”[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The couple hosted traditional Arabic Coffee Service throughout the Rehearsal Dinner, including rich, traditional spices such as cardamon. Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning and Design selected customary, hand painted Arabic Coffee vessels for this service. [/field]
