A Timeless Green and White Al Fresco Wedding Amidst Colorado's Natural Beauty
At a private residence located outside Boulder, Colorado, which could easily be mistaken for a tucked away villa in Tuscany lies Burning Sky Farm, a truly special property. Once Rachel and Collin saw the property, they knew it was where they would say I do. They wanted to lean into the Tuscan vibe and we helped them create an al fresco wedding experience for their guests - fit for the Tuscan countryside.
Collin's lured Rachel out to the North Fork of Long Island, known for its picturesque beaches and amazing local wineries under the guise of a work conference that he had to attend. Once there, after a few glasses of wine, Collin led Rachel into the vineyard and dropped to one knee and she of course, said YES!
Rachel, who lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan knew she wanted to get her dress from the infamous Kleinfeld Bridal. She found the most perfect Rita Vinieris fitted gown with beautiful lace detailing and corset bodice.
We enlisted the help of Blackbelly Catering to create a custom menu that could be found in a small cafe in the hills of Tuscany. From a summer heirloom tomato pasta as the starter to Tuscan red wine braised beef and Roman chicken cacciatore - guests were transported to Italy with flavors reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside. They sipped on a selection of hand selected Tuscan wines and spritz before making their way to the Gelato Cart, complete with flavors synonymous with Italy like pistachio, cannoli and stracciatella.
Rachel and Collin wanted to keep their flowers and decor classic and timeless and opted for a palette of mostly white florals with pops of green that came through in olive leaves on the table and in the centerpieces. Plum Sage Flowers brought their vision to life in every aspect and truly created a warm and inviting environment. The area was complete with cozy lounge groupings from Hazel Grove.
The wedding cake was tiramisu cheesecake and flourless chocolate torte bite with raspberry coulis topped with house whipped cream.
Rachel and Colin had a choreographed first dance that was fit for Dancing with the Stars! They snuck away after they shared special dances with their parents in their wedding gown and tuxedo to change into something that was more fit for one of the most epic first dances we've ever seen. When the DJ announced them back into the room, they took the dance floor and foxtrotted their way across the dance floor! Their guests went wild and it was truly one of the most memorable parts of the evening.
