A Classic Beauty With a Clean Edge at Big Canyon Country Club
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Maddie is the epitome of refined classic beauty and wanted her wedding to reflect that with a slight modern and clean edge. She was clear with her overall vision of the wedding design she was going for.
From the stunning tidewater tent from Bright, to the residential feel of the furniture and lighting, rentals from Folklore, to the unexpected (and fun!) dance floor, Maddie's vision came to life and created a backdrop for her guests to shower her and Grant with all the love they had stored up from waiting those two years.
Proposal Story
From the planner: Our beautiful couple, Madeline and Grant, were originally supposed to get married on 10/31/2020, but of course had to postpone their wedding to the following year. After 2 years of planning, changing venues, redesigning, and dealing with so many unknowns, these two incredible people finally got down the aisle and had the most raucous and celebratory wedding I have ever seen. Their friends and family had been waiting for this day along with them, and when they were able to show them their love, they did with abandon. Madeline and Grant had the best attitudes while dealing with all the chaos of planning a wedding during a pandemic. They constantly rolled with the punches, never complaining, always grateful to their vendors, and loving to their friends and family. Such a beautiful and lovely couple deserved an equally beautiful day, and I'm so happy it came to life for them.”

The Fashion
Wedding Gown
The fashion of the day also played into this aesthetic. Madeline's Oscar de la Renta gown was the definition of classic elegance, and she was so stunning in it.
Bridesmaid Dresses
She then chose the prettiest silk bridesmaid dresses that were printed with delicate flowers in tones of gold, copper, and muted green. We even found a linen from La Tavola for the cocktail hour that played off the bridesmaid dresses.

The Details
Food & Drink
Maddie and Grant served a beet and goat cheese salad followed by a wild isle salmon and prime filet minon with roasted baby heirloom carrots and sautéed broccolini, mushroom risotto red wine sauce and lemon beurre blanc.
Florals & Decor
Maddie allowed me almost complete freedom to bring her ideas to life. An elegant, clean, and crisp base with pops of warm textures and an abundance of garden style florals. A complete secret garden feel highlighted by the entrance of the tent and draping greenery inside.
Wedding Cake
Maddie and Grant's gorgeous wedding cake sat atop a custom cake stand made by Nancy of Oak and the owl. The cake itself was a simple white cake adorned with florals.
Special Detail #1
From the planner: Some of the fun custom touches I added were painting neo-classical stands to match the color scheme, then added rattan paper weavings to the inset sections. I used these as the elevated stand for the escort card table arrangement and the cake stand. Pairing the rattan paper with the beautiful paper design by Copper Willow, was another moment of the design aesthetic coming full circle. Clean and crisp paired with warmth and texture.
