Proposal Story
From the Bride: Phil proposed in Santa Barbara, on a trip that Alina and her sister had planned for Alina’s brother in law’s birthday (or so she thought). Phil hinted that their friends from London were in Santa Barbara the same weekend and that we should stop by and see them at the beach — which coincided with our wine tasting schedule. We left my sister and brother in law to say a quick hello and, while walking on the beach looking for the friends, I noticed Phil was walking me towards a picnic set up with a bottle of champagne and a cheeseboard (a few of my favorite things). He proposed right by the picnic setup, right after I finally realized what was happening. We met back up with my sister and brother in law after to celebrate over more drinks and SB ocean views.

The Details
Food & Drink
From the Bride: The signature drinks were Mezcal based, with Mezcal margaritas for cocktail hour and Mezcal old fashioneds for dinner. Phil and I grew to love mezcal drinks over our numerous trips to Mexico.
Florals & Decor
Parker and Posies created a lush garden themed decor with an assortment of roses and ranunculus. Adore Folklore and Bright Rentals provided all the rentals for the reception and ceremony.
Wedding Cake
From the Bride: None — we opted for a cookie bar featuring our favorite dessert: Batch & Box cookies
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
From the Bride: Brother in law (same one from the SB trip) was the officiant, father of the bride said a prayer in his native language Russian, ceremony songs (string quartet) included: bones (Maren Morris) for family, electric feel (MGMT) for bride, and signed, sealed, delivered for couple exit
Our first dance was Something ‘bout you (Sir Roosevelt) and the band (The Mighty Untouchables) killed it
Special Detail #1
From the Bride: My favorite details of the wedding included: the mismatched bridesmaids dresses (the first vision I had for the wedding), the cookie bar, the floral garden for escort cards and the neon something ‘bout you sign for our champagne tower toast; we also had our custom designed wedding crescent printed on a few items throughout the wedding, including the cocktail napkins, match books for favors, and golf balls since the wedding was at our country club
