Bright Fuchsia Blooms and a Supermoon Made for One Epic Greek Wedding!

If we could catch the moon for them we would! However we had to settle for the ultimate full moon wedding. The 13th July 2022 Supermoon was just rising behind a subtle layer of clouds. As you can imagine, the largest full moon of the year was beside Brynn and Steve, the focal point of the wedding. From the unique wedding invitations, to the seating chart, everything was inspired by this extraordinary lighted up sky. Of course, we could not leave aside Steve’s Greek roots so this “ Big fat Greek Wedding” had something of the “Mama Mia” flair that took everyone on a trip to Skopelos.

According to the newlyweds, after a weekend bouncing around beaches and day parties in Montauk, the stars aligned for them to accidentally meet again, twice. In typical Greek fashion, Steve had to go to his mother’s island of Evia for business related reasons, where he planned a romantic picnic with delicious charcuterie boards curated from an artisanal delicatessen. During a beautiful sunset over the rolling hills, Steve got down on one knee and popped the question. In that moment, they both knew that spending the rest of their lives together would be the best decision they would ever make!

Wearing the most flattering blues tone, the bridesmaids elevated the whole vision of the wedding decor as they brought out the color palette and details.

The guests were welcomed by a variety of seasonal and refreshing cocktails and drinks such as sangria bianca and greek mastiha as well as a light selection of finger food just enough to whet the appetite. Catering dipnosofistirion served the perfect Mediterranean dinner under the moon which included fresh lobster, grouper filets and shallots. The vegan and vegetarian menu were carefully curated to satisfy everyone.

A gorgeous, rich and colorful climbing garland decorated the quaint church where the ceremony took place. The choice of flowers created the picture perfect contrast we loved! The tables were adorned with tree centerpieces with hydrangeas and bougainvillea. Mirrors were also a key element in this full moon wedding in order to capture the glowing and shiny effect of the moon.

We got a sweet tooth for wedding cakes, especially when frosted. Brynn and Steve opted for a classic white three tier wedding cake which was decorated with the same pink and fuchsia bougainvilleas.

The couple's entrance was accompanied by a harp and violin duet who covered Beyonce's "Hello" and the old time classic "Stand by me" by Ben E king. The couple and guets enjoyed dinner under the stars as well as their first dance to the amazing sound of a saxophone.
