[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The couple’s chic and elegant summer garden wedding was characterized by a sophisticated aesthetic. The overall vibe exudes refinement and is polished and timeless, with an emphasis on establishing a luxurious atmosphere for the wedding day.[/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Bride’s Comment: “In 2015, I saw photos of a wedding in a castle in Florence planned by Elia (Moretti Events). It was the most beautiful wedding I had ever seen. There and then I decided that if I ever get married then it absolutely has to be in Italy. Fast-forward to 2019 and Sagar and I get engaged. There were no doubts in my mind that this wedding was going to be in that same castle in Italy and Elia would plan it – we didn’t even look anywhere else. It turned out that the same castle in Florence was also where Sagar’s cousin got married some time ago (what a coincidence!) but it was under renovation until 2022 and we didn’t want to wait that long to get married, which was rather ironic in hindsight. We ended up finding an even better venue in Rome and booked based on online photos and no site visit! Italy has an abundance of wedding venues and we truly picked the best one for us and our style.

I remember feeling quite emotional seeing it all come together after 3 years of waiting and planning. Sitting there and eating dinner as the sun was setting, the candles were burning and the band was playing the songs we carefully picked was magical. I honestly had a few moments where I couldn’t believe this was actually our wedding and not a dream. After two cancellations I couldn’t believe this was happening and how good it turned out. This was one of those rare times in life where reality exceeded expectations (and I always have very high expectations)![/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]A delightful aperitif in the Secret Garden of the villa included different corners with bread, fresh cuts, canapes (dried fruit with creams), and cheese with marmalade. The open bar and American bar offered refreshing drinks such as Aperol Spritz (the most popular aperitif in Italy, made with Aperol, Prosecco, and orange slices), refreshing Cocktail Hugo (elderflower syrup, Prosecco, mint, and lime), natural fruit juices, still and sparkling water, tasting of white and red wines of the Tuscan region, and Prosecco D.O.C.G Superirore di Valdobbiadene e Conegliano Col De Mez (Soligo Spumanti). The dinner menu included: ravioli filled with burrata and saffron with parmesan cheese cream (starter), orange duck breast with sage and rosemary potatoes, and a fan of grilled vegetables (main course), pistachio profiteroles (dessert). The evening reception was held in the Lemon Garden.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]A snack bar was accompanied by an exquisite, antique sculpture. Round cocktail tables and wicker table sets, decorated with neutral blooms, were placed throughout the garden for guests to enjoy a chic and graceful aperitif. The dinner reception was decorated with round white linen tables with silver cutlery, crystal glasses, and white porcelain underplates with dusty pink napkins. From pink-toned and ivory blooms, rose-filled centerpieces, and ceremony arch, to pink and gold tablescape decor and greenery, the wedding was filled with a whimsical and stylish feel.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]A round Millefeuille cake. The layers of the crispy pastry were filled with chantilly cream and fresh berries, topped off with dusted powdered sugar and sweet berries. [/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The couple chose a romantic ceremony entrance song with Ludovico’s “Experience” and a celebratory exit song with Jagged Edge’s “Let’s Get Married”. The ceremony music included classic love songs such as “Can’t Help Falling in love”, “Thinking out Loud”, “All of Me”, “A Thousand Years”, and “Ave Maria”. The celebratory afternoon aperitif and reception were accompanied by a lively band, The Popinjays Sax band, whose performance created a festive atmosphere for the couple and guests to enjoy. [field title=”Special Detail #1″]Bride’s comments about the first look with the groom: “The first look was very special. We did it for practical reasons so that we could squeeze in some photo time before the wedding and enjoy more of the aperitif but it actually ended up being such a great experience. I just remember walking up behind Sagar and being quite nervous. He turned around and looked very handsome. He was absolutely ecstatic to see me and loved my dress. I picked the dress in 2019 (originally for a 2020 wedding) and that dress just sat in my closet for years waiting to be seen! It was a nice moment with just the two of us that got us really excited right before the ceremony. I would recommend that everyone does a first look as it’s such a special and intimate moment.”[/field]
