An Enchanting Ballroom Wedding at a Luxury Rosewood Hotel

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

Monica and Victor’s wedding was enchanting, whimsical, and every bit the fairytale wedding they had envisioned.

The Fashion
Wedding Gown

Monica looked ethereal in her timeless A-line gown by Pronovias that featured a stunning Chantilly lace bodice. During dinner, she changed into a couture dress by Stesha Ho that had the most darling frill sleeves and snuck out with Victor for sunset photos.

Bridesmaid Dresses
Monica's bridesmaids wore blush-coloured elegant silk dresses that were perfect for the summer weather.
The Details
Food & Drink

Guests were treated to a 4-course dinner starting with a smoked cauliflower soup followed by a salmon aburi served on crispy rice. For mains, guests chose between an Alberta angus beef striploin or a delectable miso-marinated sablefish. To finish, dessert was a green tea, passion fruit-infused mousse that was light and airy — the perfect end to a delicious dining experience!

Florals & Decor

Even though their reception was held at a hotel, both wanted to stray away from traditional banquet rounds and create an elegant environment for their guests instead. Long tables and tapered candles were key to creating a cosy and intimate ambience for their plated 4-course dinner. Each place-setting featured an escort card with the guest name calligraphed in walnut ink, set next to a delectable Ladurée macaron box. Monica and Victor dined at a rectangular head table that was level with the guest tables but overgrown with lush florals.

Wedding Cake
The pièce de résistance was their 3-tiered wedding cake adorned with the most delicate sugar flowers and textured dimension.
Special Detail #1

The day started with a traditional tea ceremony as a nod to their heritage, followed by a ceremony at the Canadian Memorial United Church.

Special Detail #2
Monica and Victor had a portrait station with a dedicated photographer to take timeless black-and-white photos of their wedding guests.
Special Detail #3
A beautiful escort table with a statement floral arrangement welcomed guests at the dinner reception. The escort cards were calligraphed by hand in walnut ink and adorned with an elegant wax seal.
