Understated Chic With an Epic Wedding Dress at Domaine de Primard!
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Under perfectly sunny skies the wedding weekend was understated and chic - just like the couple. Drinks by the pool, a garden party rehearsal dinner, and a wedding day that was a vision of whites and greens, with a reception under an open-air tent strung with lights.

The bride's Monique Lhuillier ballgown was the perfect pick - a bit architectural, softened by the cascade of ruffles.

The Details
Food & Drink
The Domaine’s chef, Romain Meder, worked to create a menu that brought together local, seasonal French products, with a twist of Finland and a dash New York, to celebrate all of the facets of the couple.
Florals & Decor
The grounds and natural setting of the Domaine de Primard were a main source of inspiration for the decor. Floraison brought in seasonal flowers and greenery which enhanced the natural beauty of the venue. The ceremony was held in the courtyard where we created an overgrown garden vibe. The reception table decor was more curated with modern arrangements along the long banquet tables. We loved the greenery "chandeliers" that Floraison created to hang in the tent!
Wedding Cake
Instead of an American-style wedding cake, the couple opted for a series of mini croquembouche. Croquembouche is the traditional French wedding cake, which usually is a large tower of cream-filled pastry puffs.
Special Detail #1
Sophie and Paul’s romantic summer wedding took place at the elegant Domaine de Primard. The bride initially discovered the Domaine via a feature in Architectural Digest - the estate was formerly a private residence and had been recently converted into a luxury countryside getaway just about 1 hour from Paris.
