Along the shore of the low country property at River Oaks, the inspiration comes from the tones naturally surrounding the venue. Watercolor tones for the invitation set the scene of a perfect South Carolina gathering in honor of our couple.

River Oaks in Charleston, South Carolina is the perfect low country setting for this early spring inspired celebration.

A princess cut Monique Lhullier with lovely floral patterns throughout the dress compliment the delicate fresh spring arrangements. The cathedral veil softens the iconic bridal look while creating a timeless elegance for our bride.

Salt Stem Charleston curated a lovely sampling of fresh greens and white florals to grace the tablescape and add a touch of whimsy, texture, and playfulness to an elegant dining experience. The linens and scalloped edged plating were a beautiful tone of Carolina blue and creamy white. The invitation by Dragon Fly Paperie perfectly bought the color palette together, setting the perfect welcome for guests to the wedding celebrations and al fresco dining.

Outdoor al fresco dining is often a rarity in low country where late afternoon and evening thunderstorms might drench guests in a heavy rainfall. The entire design for this intimate al fresco setting was my favorite element as it complimented the serenity of River Oaks.

Observing the natural environment for a venue is key as well as noting the seasonality of your wedding celebrations to create an immersive experience that is set against a wonderfully juxtaposed backdrop.
