A Classic Black And White Wedding With A Modern Twist
The overall aesthetic was a modern take on a clean and timeless look. They wanted to incorporate fun and unexpected elements throughout their day to keep guests excited and to bring in personal touches that made the wedding feel more customized.
Giselle and Zane were traveling around Thailand and one night Zane planned a private sunset dinner overlooking the ocean. Giselle was asking Zane to take what he recalls as "a million pictures" of her along the way, so he told her the view behind her looked amazing if she wanted to have him take some photos of her. When she turned around, he was down on one knee, and he asked her to marry him!
Giselle found her dress at Nyanza Bridal, where the owner Ashley helped her find her dream gown. On the wedding day she wore “Angelica” by Reem Acra, a strapless, re-embroidered French lace column gown with an exposed back and Chantilly lace corset detail. Giselle was one of the very last brides ever to have this dress, as it was discontinued right after she bought it. She is also the only one in the Pacific Northwest to have bought it, making it extra special!
The bridesmaids wore Jenny Yoo floor-length gowns in a beautiful soft blush color. Giselle loved how Jenny Yoo had a lot of clean, simple designs offered in a wide size range to accommodate all of her ladies. All the bridesmaids wore blush stone droplet earrings from Anthropologie that perfectly coordinated with their beautiful Jenny Yoo dresses.
The groom and groomsmen were all styled by Annette Dresser of J. Hilburn. Zane was dressed in a Windsor Blue Italian custom suit with a custom Italian white shirt with navy in the button thread. She paired these with an Italian navy tie, pocket square, and tobacco brown belt, and formal shoes from ToBoot. The groomsmen wore a similar look with a custom suit in storm blue twill-paired white shirts, Italian ties, tobacco shoes, and belts.
The bar was very important to this fun-loving couple! Their signature drinks were each named after their dogs. The bar signs featured painted images of each of their dogs next to their namesake drink. There was a "Peach Bellini" for their dog Peach which was served in a flute with a gold acrylic drink charm and there was a "Molly Mule" for their pup Molly that was served in a Moscow mule glass and sported a gold acrylic stirrer. They also had a stunning ice luge that featured a wedding bouquet frozen inside of it. This station had its own special cocktail that would be served through the luge and right into guests' glasses. It was a fun and interactive moment for all the guests!
We wanted to keep the floral timeless and classic while still making a statement. Sal Floral Design stuck with an all-white color palette with plenty of polished greenery. We achieved a sophisticated, whimsical, and classic look that was entirely Giselle and Zane!
Giselle and Zane are big candy people and their wedding was 100% going to reflect that! They had a small ornate cutting cake with a beautiful flower petal design by The SweetSide, along with a massive dessert bar. Since M&Ms are one of their favorite treats, we served custom M&Ms with their monogram and wedding date on them.
Favors were another great opportunity to show off Giselle and Zane's personality and wedding story. Their favors were custom-made boxed candles, each with a drawing of their venue and their wedding logo in gold foil. This was paired with custom matchboxes featuring a coordinating venue and wedding date graphic. "A Perfect Match" was displayed as the sign on their favor table, and guests could use their candle sets to remember Giselle and Zane's special day over and over again!
