From the bride… Evan and I had no preconceived notions or ideas of what our wedding day design should be. We had only one goal – to celebrate with our closest family and friends, in an intimate setting full of laughter and dancing. Thankfully, we had the help of our wonderful wedding planner Hilary, from Hilary Marie Events, to create a beautiful, personal day for us and all of our loved ones.
Since both of our families lived in the Midwest, it was important to us to pick a venue that showcased San Francisco, the place we call home. And our venue did just that. James Leary Flood Mansion is a historic building with large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. We knew immediately that this was the perfect place to celebrate, given many of our guests had never visited California.
Hilary played off the grandness of our venue, making our space feel romantic and whimsical, yet warm and inviting. And SF held up its end of the bargain, with perfect weather and not a cloud in the sky, ensuring every guest got to take a picture with the Golden Gate Bridge!”
