Organic Glam and Thousands of Vibrant Flowers in Lowcountry

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Farris and Tyler tied the knot at Lowndes Grove on September 17th, 2022. The weekend successfully blended the groom's outdoorsy nature and the bride's glamorous quality. The couple emphasized this balance between organic and luxe with every design choice. Each turn of the evening needs to be layered with great music, ambiance, vibrant floral installations, and rich elemental details.
Proposal Story
While Tyler was attending pharmacy school and Farris was attending medical school, they often found themselves frequenting the university gym together. Stealing glances at each other turned into an occasional hello. Tyler finally made his move with a letter of admiration to Farris, which sealed the deal on their connection. After Farris matched to her top anesthesiology program on Match Day, Tyler proposed. The couple had the ultimate task of planning a wedding and starting their careers in healthcare at the height of the pandemic. The results of the wedding weekend were a clear indication of how incredibly hardworking, deserving, and beautiful the couple indeed is.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Farris found her dress at Gowns of Grace in Dallas, TX. The bride's hand-embroidered Toni Federici ceremony veil with handmade floral details was a pivotal inspiration to other important wedding day details such as the wedding cake, the couple's crest, and scriptures read during their ceremony. Her main wedding shoes were Stuart Weitzman. After the evening's heartfelt toasts, the bride changed into a sparkling custom party dress from Modern Trousseau with coordinating Chanel shoes.
Bridesmaid Dresses
All the bridesmaids wore Jenny Yoo floor-length gowns in a beautiful light sage color.
Groomsman Attire
The groomsmen looked dashing in their Vera Wang suits and bowties.
The Details
Food & Drink
A warm Lowcountry sunset blanketed the couples cocktail hour while guests ordered drinks from bars adorned with vibrant living orchids and enjoyed passed appetizers. The couple had three signature cocktails; Kentucky Mules (His), French 75 (Hers), and a Paloma (Ours) amongst the full open bar available to guests throughout the evening. PPHG provided in-house catering for a sit-down served dinner for their guests. For dessert, guests were served the couple's wedding cake. The couple served a fun late-night pass selection of smash burgers, truffle fries with garlic aioli, and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches.
Florals & Decor
The couple trusted their florist wholeheartedly to dress the quintessential Charleston backdrop with an organic selection of vibrant branches, blooms, and live orchids. The result sang of romance throughout the wedding environment. The result sang of romance throughout the wedding environment. The heart of the event lived under a clear structure tent allowing guests to feel rooted in the fabric of Charleston's historical landscape.
Wedding Cake
The bride's veil inspired the cake. Each layer was adorned with twisting vines, and pink buds and blooms to convey the same themes read in the scriptures at the ceremony and represented on the couple's custom crest.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
Her walk down the aisle encouraged tears as she walked with her father to the hymnal tunes and drum beats of the Southern choir, The Plantation Singers. Music was an essential element to the couple. The bride's hand-embroiders veil mentioned earlier was a pivotal inspiration to scriptures about vines and branches read during the reception.
Special Detail #1
Music was an essential element to the couple. The bride's late grandmother was a renowned concert pianist, and the mix of strings, choir vocals, and a full reception band created different ambiance areas that the bride's grandmother would have cherished.

Special Detail #3
Farris and Tyler now call Charleston home and wanted their big weekend to highlight the best of Charleston to visiting family and friends. Wedding festivities kicked off with an elegant bridal luncheon at 82 Queen. The rehearsal dinner was an intimate oyster roast at the iconic Leon's Oyster Shop. The atmosphere was fragranced by an open area cooktop fire, while the tabletop and decor selections were as rich in color and texture. The love of their friends and family was evident throughout the lively reception. Then, finally, the couple rode off in the backseat of a vintage convertible to begin their lives as husband and wife. For the rest of the guests, the evening concluded with a nightcap cocktail at Charleston's oldest bar, Henry's. In keeping with the couple's attention to detail, a fashionable Southern brunch was hosted by the bride's aunt and uncle in the courtyard at Frannie and the Fox inside Hotel Emeline. Each guest received a farewell gift of a white monogrammed baseball hat. **The Vimeo is not embedding, but it is public. Here is the link: https://vimeo.com/779650718/7c533deb98
