Bold Pops Of Bougainvillea-Inspired Pink At This Flora Farms Wedding
We knew we wanted Cabo and had heard great things about Flora Farms. The minute we walked in, we knew it was for us. All of the nature, greenery, and flowers that surrounded the venue were exactly the kind of timeless look we wanted. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful backdrop for our special day. I didn’t know what I wanted going into the planning process. However, after months of saving pictures on Instagram, I realized the common theme between them all was the bright, Bougainvillea-inspired pink accents. We wanted to highlight the bright colors of Mexico and use the colors to create a less formal, more vibrant atmosphere for the night.
We met through mutual friends at a bar in Newport Beach. We dated for 3 ½ years before we got engaged. JP proposed in March of 2021. We were at one of our favorite restaurants on the Big Island of Hawaii, and he proposed at sunset in a secluded place of the restaurant. My family was waiting there after we got engaged to have a celebratory dinner together.
The bride wore a beautiful Mira Zwillinger gown. It was a total show-stopper.
They chose their preferred designers - all it was asked was to have bright-colores dresses!
Farm-to-table, family-style! It made the seated dinner so fun.
I wanted my bouquet to be white and green and very small and understated. I also wanted something unique for the ceremony floral arrangements, so my planner (ingeniously) thought to create a garden-like pathway of single white flowers that lead guests to their seats for the ceremony. Each flower was individually planted into the ground for the day. It was stunning and better than I could’ve imagined.
Vanilla, buttercream icing, and filling, made by the Flora Farms team! It was as beautiful as it was delicious.
The band and our photographer were our single biggest expenses outside of food and beverage. We also splurged a bit regarding our custom dancefloor – and it was worth it. Our planner modeled it after the flora and fauna found in Flora Farms’ own gardens, as well as taking some inspiration from floral Dior boxes.
Once your wedding day/weekend is here, just absorb it. Trust in yourself, your partner, planner, vendors, etc. that all of the hard work has paid off and now is your moment to reap the rewards. The minute JP and I got in the car to head to the airport for the wedding weekend; we were on cloud nine. The moment we saw that people had come to Mexico to celebrate us, the gratitude took over, and everything else was just icing on the cake. I would also recommend 1000 times over to have all of your guests stay at the same hotel. We made a point to choose a hotel that everyone could afford, and it paid off. Being able to spend more organic, informal time with our guests throughout the weekend was such a blessing. We don’t get to see a lot of them on a regular basis, so it was an extra treat to run into them at breakfast and grab a drink with them by the pool. We really tried to make the most of every second of the weekend.
