Cheerful Colors At This California Garden Party
This cheerful California celebration overlooking the coast is incredibly chic. Jeannene Lillie Events planned and designed a day that elegantly brought our couple's Big Day vision to life, and The Little Fleur Co filled it with the most beautiful of blooms. Each moment artfully captured by Pauline Conway Photography is more stunning than the last, you can see them all inside the full gallery.
From Jeannene Lillie Events... Jeannene and Michael’s long-awaited wedding weekend, held on the second anniversary of their COVID elopement, brought together 37 of their closest loved ones in the bride's hometown of San Diego, California. The whole weekend was focused on the magic that can happen when you intentionally bring together a group to create memories together in an absolutely breathtaking coastal destination away from the distractions of technology.
The wedding celebrations began with a rooftop cocktail-style gathering overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the La Jolla coastline filled with torrey pines and sea lions. Guests were introduced to new connections via an icebreaker game coordinated with their name tags as the beautiful saxophone notes danced on the salty breeze. The wedding celebration was on the following day hosted at Darlington House; the 1920s home of prominent socialite Mrs. Sybil Darlington. This beautiful estate provided the perfect location for an intimate celebration.
As the days' events continued, guests were ushered throughout the various patios and event spaces on the property towards their next experiences including a renewing of vows, signature tequila bar, family-style meal, and much more! In celebration of the couple’s love story beginning with a written note, Jeannene and Michael wrote individual notes to each of their guests and tucked them into assigned cubbies for each guest. Guests were also encouraged to tuck their phones into the cubbies and grab a disposable camera to document the events of the evening. The evening ended with guests waving ribbon wands as Jeannene and Michael ran underneath, finally able to celebrate their remarkable love story with their loved ones present.
