From Published + Pretty… This same-sex Cabo destination wedding is full of fun and fashion. It features a weekend-long celebration with a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. The attire was really important to this couple and each outfit was maliciously planned, featuring pieces from Prada, Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, and Tom Ford – just to name a few. The couple also planned and designed the whole wedding themselves.
From Nate Puhr… Celebrating the love of Jonathan and David is definitely unforgettable! Besides the fact that they had a Cabo destination wedding, the amount of personalization that they invested in every detail showed how the couple wanted to make it as memorable as possible. Everything had a meaning to it, not just for them but also for everyone present on their special day. The couple made sure to show their love for fun and appreciation by giving their guests their personalized place cards, shots with their seat numbers, and even their gift bags. Not to mention how incredibly stylish they both were, as they wanted to show their personality as much as possible. It really mattered for them to have the experience of a lifetime, and so they did. Their guests were welcomed at their luxury destination wedding in a gorgeous way since the rehearsal dinner happened at Flora Farms. Everything was sophisticated, with a touch of vibrant colors to match our fun couple’s outfits. Erika De Lorenzo and Coco did an incredible job arranging everything. One of the highlights of that time was the Mojigangas that Jonathan bought for David as a surprise. It was one of their favorite things about visiting San Miguel de Allende, so it was fitting to have one for their Mexico wedding. Their Cabo destination wedding ceremony happened at the JW Marriott Los Cabos. In addition to the picturesque view and wonderful ambiance, what made it even more remarkable is how meaningful this location is for the couple. For them, there’s no better place to have their luxury destination wedding than the very same place where they first professed their love for each other. Their Mexico wedding was indeed extraordinary! From having fireworks at exactly 10:31 PM, which symbolized October 31st – their first date, to their custom-made suits from the rare fabric from Tom Ford and one-of-a-kind Prada tuxedos, the couple made sure to make their Cabo destination wedding as personalized and extraordinary as possible! Something that they both deserved to have!
From the groom… We wanted an opportunity for people from various times and locations of our lives to come together to celebrate our love, yes, but more importantly for this very special group of people to get to know each other. We selected a resort hotel away from a metro area to encourage our guests to stay at the resort and to have plenty of time to talk to our other guests. We wanted the event to be memorable, and for it to be reflective of our personalities, our love for fun, and our style. It was super important that we had an EXPERIENCE. The puppets, the fireworks, the shots to find their seat. The first dance including everyone. Heck, even the gift bags – we wanted everyone to just have a great time and also know how much we appreciated them making the effort to Come all the way to Cabo. The rehearsal dinner I mean – Flora Farms is just magical. It was on the list to get married there but ultimately It felt like the perfect intimate spot to have those grounds be the backdrop to share some extra deep love for our closest friends and family. The potting shed was private enough but perfect for the intimate moment while being just close enough to the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. Erika De Lorenzo and Coco did an incredible job. Not only was it meant to be an experience, but it all also had meaning. The Mojigangas was one of our favorite things about visiting San Miguel de Allende so I bought them as a surprise for David in Cabo. The fireworks went off at exactly 10:31 pm as our first date was on October 31st. The favorite things cards we literally thought of each one for each person to make sure they didn’t just get a place card and instead they got something that illustrated our true favorite characteristics of each guest. We selected the JW Marriott Los Cabos Resort & Spa, because it was the site of the first vacation we took together as a couple, and it’s where we told each other we loved each other for the first time. We wanted to be dressed in colors that were formal yet that matched the landscape of where we were geographically. It was super fun to get pretty much everything on our bodies either custom-made or a few items for a capsule collection. My late family Friend Andre Leon Talley helped us get this rare fabric from Tom Ford for our ceremony – we are told these are the only two in the world! Our Prada tuxedos – same deal they needed special permission from Miuccia Prada to be made as that was to be traditionally a suiting fabric – therefore each of our is one of a kind!
