A color palette of green and charcoal gives this whimsical wedding a modern twist. Charmed Events Group, LLC planned and designed a celebration that brought the couple’s Big Day vision to life, filled with canopies draped in foliage and fabric. The floral design by Hawthorne Floral Studio was utterly romantic, and Kristine Herman Photography artfully captures the love and joy of the day in elegant imagery. From Charmed Events Group, LLC… E+J knew exactly what they wanted when it came to their day. They wanted to have a modern affair with lots and lots of greenery and wanted to create a reception that incorporated wooden canopies for guests to dine and dance under. The other thing that they wanted to have? Their sweet pup Yogi by their side! With a greenery-inspired palette, we added notes of grey and charcoals to give the popular color palette a modern twist. We loved that every detail was considered, even making sure the wedding party matched the palette in a whimsical and modern way. One of our favorite details was adding floral patterned dresses to the mix!
As guests were welcomed to the ceremony, they were greeted by gorgeous and wild greenery that Hawthorne Floral Studio designed for us. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed the view of the villa lawn while finding their seats with bottles filled with assorted ferns and foliage pieces. The reception was a stunner! We created a modern wonderland using wooden canopies draped in foliage and fabrics. String lighting and lanterns were hung throughout the canopies and on the dance floor to create a magical glow. Guests sat down to tablescapes that were modern and crisp with whimsical florals to match.
Guests added to the florals with the bottles they grabbed from finding their seats. Both E + J are avid dancers and beloved members of their college dance troupe. One of the best moments was their first dance which started out like any other, that evolved into a personally choreographed hip-hop dance that got all their guests on their feet. As one could imagine, the dance floor was full and happening all night long. The lovely couple is now expecting a baby – and it all started from this modern, sweet day!
