A Gorgeous Garden-Inspired Wedding On The Water In Annapolis
This coastal chic wedding day is everything a bride could dream of. MW Events Co brought our couple's vision to life with a color palette of soft blue, white, and green to match the natural beauty of the waterfront location. Romantic floral design by Floret + Vine added to the elegance, and Audra Wrisley Photography artfully captured every incredible moment in her photography. From Audra Wrisley Photography... Caitlin and Jack came to me with dreams of a coastal chic wedding day- filled with dreamy blues, light greys and hints of greenery. After a few initial conversations about what was most important to the couple for their day, it was very clear that this would one of the most stunning weddings I would ever work on. Caitlin, having grown up in Annapolis, wanted to make the guests- no matter where they were from- feel like they, too, would be coming home to celebrate the couple. Jack, a very involved groom, wanted all of the guests to feel at ease and ready to let loose and have a great time! After carefully curating the "dream team" of vendors, we were ready to begin planning and designing the perfect day.
The goal was to tie together the perfect garden party cocktail hour, an elegant tented reception and a waterfront, open-air dance party. The day ended up being so much more than any of us expected! From the wedding party getting ready in Historic Downtown Annapolis, to the perfectly executed ceremony filled with laughter and happy tears- it was sure to be a day no guest would ever forget. After the ceremony, the guests made their way to the shaded Whitehall Lawn for cocktails and conversation. Guests immediately felt at ease relaxing in the lounges with views of the historic home designed by the same architect who designed the iconic Maryland State House- Joseph Horatio Anderson. After indulging in the perfect selection of local bites by Ken's Creative Kitchen, guests would find their way up the flower-lined fields to the waterfront tent filled with the most impactful details designed specifically for Caitlin & Jack.
In collaboration with White Glove Rentals, Honeywood Event Rentals, and the Annapolis-based artist, Kim Hovell, we were able to match the elegant oyster-patterned napkins to a custom bar design that completely tied the entire tent together! After the perfect first dance to Sam Smith's "Like I Can", guests were treated to freshly shucked Maryland oysters, crab cakes and more from Ken's Creative Kitchen before hitting the waterfront to dance the night away with the Millennium Band. As the couple ran from the dancefloor, framed by twinkling overhead lights, their only wish was for that perfect day to have just lasted forever.
