See The Most Beautiful Seating Chart At This Backyard Lake Minnetonka Wedding

This beautiful backyard wedding done in blue and white is sure to get your heart pumping. Poppati Events Inc. filled the day with carefully curated details, like one of the most stunning nautical-inspired seating charts we’ve ever seen. Floral design by Sadies Floral added to the romance, and every moment was elegantly captured in photography by Jordan Joseph Photography. From Jordan Joseph Photography… Jack and Kaitlin’s family’s lakeside residence was transformed into their very own custom venue suited for a nautical romantic wedding! The couple hired Ashley Mansy Pachkofsky, with Poppati Events Inc. to fully plan and design their dream day. Ashley customized the wedding designs and details for the couple so every aspect of the day would feel uniquely theirs by incorporating inspiration from their vision, the wedding location, the couple’s love story, and their interests. A custom “Come Sail Away with J&K” seating chart map of Lake Minnetonka with guest place cards made of sailboats floating in the bays, along with their monogram placed in the bay where their wedding took place. The other side of the large seating chart was designed with a custom blue and white floral design to act as a photo op wall for guests to take photos. Lush baby blue Dutch hydrangeas were flown in from Holland for the centerpieces to match the bride’s favorite shade of blue and the wedding color palette to perfection. The couple cruised into their lakeside cocktail hour in style with a grand boat entrance to kick off the celebrations after having a private champagne celebration on the lake as newlyweds post ceremony.

The wedding cake was designed with an oversized bow as a nod to the large bow on the back of the bride’s wedding gown. The lakeside cocktail hour bar was designed as a statement piece with a custom blue and white floral pattern. A fashion sketch artist drew live portraits of wedding guests that were gifted as wedding favors. Handheld flags with the couple’s crest were given to guests to wave in celebration as the couple recessed down the aisle after their “I Do’s” and were used again when the couple entered the reception. An antique family car was used for sunset photos nestled alongside Lake Minnetonka. “Doggie Bags” were designed with a custom drawing of the couples’ dog for guests to take home treats from the late night snack bar. A Ralph Lauren inspired reception bar was designed with cascading hydrangeas, RL lamps and vases.

From the bride and groom… Since the day we got engaged, Jack and I knew we wanted to incorporate Lake Minnetonka into our wedding day. Doing long distance for a few years meant lots of back and forth between my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and Minneapolis where Jack is from. Jack grew up on Lake Minnetonka and it is where we will both call “home” as a married couple as we begin to grow our family, so we wanted to share the beauty with all of the people most special to us. Our vision was a classic and timeless feel with lots of personalized and unique touches (and blue!) to represent us and our families. Our team could have not executed better as it was beyond our wildest dreams; the absolute most beautiful setup we could ever have imagined. We certainly underestimated the planning and coordination of bringing a backyard wedding to life and could have not done it without the hard work and creativity of our amazing vendors along with the support of our parents. We feel so lucky to have lived out this real-life dream on the shores of this small slice of heaven in Minnesota.
