From Blue Rose Pictures... Kevin and Kiki met online, a guy looking for love— intrigued by a profile photo and a quick bio of a fashionable mysterious Kiki, her response were kind, yet coy and Kevin couldn't seem to grab her attention right away. So he persisted; it worked.
In 2020, Kevin and Kiki booked a sought after new venue on one of Washington States most popular vacation spots, the San Juan Islands. Saltwater Farm, with it’s PNW appeal surrounded by breathtaking scenery would be the perfect location to host their guests from all over the world. With the pandemic and travel restrictions causing them to postpone, their new date, a Wednesday, put everyone on Island mid-week. Little did they know their wedding day would turn into a week of the most heartfelt, fun, exciting, and special celebrations, most definitely worth the wait.

The Groom walked down the aisle to “I’m Gonna Be” by The Proclaimers. Before the vows began, the Groom’s mother gave a speech and words of wisdom, she told the sweetest stories of Kevin as a young boy and how she always hoped he would find the right partner. Kevin began his vows and told Kiki “It has been said what we do in our past lives decide what happens in our next life after that. I don’t know what I did in my past life, but I hope whatever it was, I am doing now, and will do again, so that I can be with you in my next life, and the next, and the next, and in all the lives to follow” Kiki talked about how the super heroes we think of fly in the sky when really, the true super heroes are those who wake up with you on a Sunday morning, drive you long distances to doctors appointments, cheer you up after a hard day at work… she found her Super Hero, Kevin.
The Bride, with a very fashion forward eye and chic modern style, wore Vera Wang during the ceremony followed by an outfit change for the reception (by Bec and Bridge), and another for dancing. She was inspired by shades of white and beige and wanted a modern style wedding that still fit the aesthetic of the venue. Being at a barn, the venue had not typically seen this take before and bringing it to life, the space felt light, airy, and bright. The guests were served and the Bride and Groom performed their first dance, one they had practiced for about a year with a choreographer. Toasts were heartfelt, and the party lasted until the late hours of the morning. It was an unforgettable week, well worth the wait.
