Happy New Year, friends!! Today we’re kicking off the 2023 wedding season with a modern oode to Spring. From the Ikebana-esque florals by Hawthorn Flower Studio to the bride’s handmade gown by her mother – there are so many beautiful details to fall for at the full gallery, all captured by Meiwen See and planned by Natalie Choi Events!
From Natalie Choi Events… Anh & Henry were married in March as winter just turned to spring, and their wedding reflected the beauty of spring along with many handmade touches. Anh’s wedding dress was lovingly handmade by her mother, and she designed and letterpressed their paper goods.
We decided to highlight the delicacy of spring blooms with modern, minimal ikebana-esque floral arrangements. In particular, we designed an escort display of clear acrylic boxes, each housing a different ikebana arrangement.
Their tablescapes were set with an array of textures, with velvet linens, gold-rimmed plates, acrylic chairs, and matte black flatware for a touch of mood.
Guests dined outside under the string lights, dancing the night away.
