Intimate Wedding Under the Tuscan Sun at Villa Montanare

Food, wine and family were at the core of today's intimate wedding at Villa Montanare in Cortona (yup, the little town where Under The Tuscan Sun was filmed!) From the welcome pizza party to the romantic wedding day - every moment of their wedding weekend was planned to perfection by Lione Weddings and the bride herself in order to create a truly authentic experience. Guests dined among the cypress trees underneath three breathtaking arches by Flowers Living complete with chandeliers hanging from above. Ardriana and Zach always loved traveling abroad, exploring new places and cuisines. During their first trip to Italy, they had dreamt and joked about getting married there one day. With their family roots originating there and their love for travel, it felt only fitting. As a a wedding planner and a bride, Ardriana knew she wanted their wedding to be an experience for their friends and families.

Like many couples in 2020, they decided to postpone their celebrations abroad. During the wait, Ardriana & Zach celebrated an intimate ceremony on New Years Day, 2021 in Rhode Island, surrounded by a select few family and friends.
Once June 2022 came, Ardriana & Zach, rented a villa to host their wedding party for their stay in Tuscany, while their additional guests stayed throughout beautiful hotels nearby - totaling 40 guests joining in their intimate celebration. There were several events leading up to the wedding day, including a spa day, pasta-making course and welcome pizza party with a vineyard tour to finish off the week. The welcome party featured live music, great pizza and dream-worthy gelato.

The wedding venue, Villa Montanare, was the easiest decision they made. With the venue just moments from the picture-perfect town of Cortona. Every decision from there was made with purpose. The bride, Ardriana chose to stay very true to herself on her wedding day, with her natural curls and family heirloom accessories.
For the groom, Zach, it was important he wore a comfortable yet tailored linen suit from a Rhode Island based company. He decided on cuff links from DelBrenna, a jewelry company within Cortona, along with a gifted signet ring, engraved from his mother.
The goal for their celebrations were focused on food, wine, and family. The decision to host their wedding abroad brought its challenges, but they are grateful for their vendors for sharing in their vision, their families for trusting in it and all of their friends for leaning into it.
