Travel to Tuscany for a classic wedding that will have you dreaming of a destination celebration in Italy. Wonderlust Events planned a day that combined modern details with traditional elements. Soft, romantic flowers in rattan pottery, by Lettre à Elise Events, lined tables for a stylish touch, while the local favorite Millefoglie cake was served at dessert. Kelly and Ben’s destination wedding took place in Cortona in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Montanare. A private Tuscan home on a hill, where our couple hosted 80 of their closest friends and family. The color scheme of this wedding was greens, whites, and soft yellows. The ceremony took place at the back of the villa overlooking the beautiful rolling countryside with amazing picturesque views of the Tuscan hills. The arch of the ceremony was mainly made out of olive branches, with touches of white.
It was important to Kelly and Ben that the Italian atmosphere was carried throughout the day, so following the ceremony an Italian string trio played nostalgic Italian music. The caterers served food stands of different Italian foods, presented in wicker baskets, and a traditional gelato cart served gelato during this time to keep guests cool in the 30-degree heat.
The guests dined along 2 long tables dressed with neutral linen tablecloths. Beautiful soft flowers were presented in terracotta pottery and each place setting had a rattan charger, with a linen napkin and minimalist nude and white-toned stationery. As the sky got darker the olive trees lit up with beautiful fairy lights to bring all the romance. Kelly & Ben had a cake moment where they made a traditional Italian Millefoglie cake in front of guests and this was followed by their first dance under a canopy of lights, where their DJ played the night away.
