Get in the Holiday Spirit With This Christmas-Inspired Affair at Rosewood Miramar Beach!

Caroline & Matt’s wedding at Rosewood Miramar Beach is sure to get you into the spirit of the season! Amorology made the adoring couple’s wedding wishes come true the weekend before Christmas, transporting guests to a wonderland of love, complete with sweet mistletoe arrangements by Native Poppy! In a festive palette of red, blush, and white combined with silvery blues and dreamy sage hues, the merry affair paid homage to the magic of the season with sensational elements – like the charming advent calendar cabinet escort display, in which each guest received their very own snow globe! From Amorology... When you get married the weekend before Christmas, you can't help but want to bring in all the joy of the holiday season as you gather with those you love most. For our sweet Caroline + Matt, who wanted a warm, inviting, and intimate day we couldn't imagine anything more lovely than lush florals in shades of cranberry, rosy red, shell pink, bone, and evergreen with touches of dusty blue where their past would kiss the present under touches of mistletoe in a ceremony beside the sea. As guests entered the ceremony they were met with soft music by the string trio and were invited to take their seats on cane back upholstered chairs where a garden like aisle appeared to be growing from the ground and natural woven baskets with petals were placed on the ends of the chairs for tossing in celebration! The arch was the focal piece and held abundant blooms in varying shades of pinks, berry tones and winter whites.
Following their touching ceremony, guests made their way to the cocktail hour at the beautiful Rosewood Miramar Beach resort and were greeted by an oversized advent cabinet calendar that read "counting down the days with you" that we created to give a nod to the season and their family tradition of opening advent calendars each year. Upon the shelves guests found their names on custom-created snow globes filled with snow and mini christmas trees with table numbers. Guests were favored further with ornaments that they pulled from opening drawers below with numbers corresponding to the guest's table assignments.
Honoring traditions old and new, a bucket list was provided and guests were encouraged to share their own holiday traditions that Caroline & Matt could incorporate into their new home together. Friends and family sipped on specialty cocktails coined The Lappe Hour (to honor Caroline's last name) , The Maritime (a nod to Matt's time in the Navy) and The Holiday (named after Caroline's favorite movie) that were served up behind a green board & batten bar with mini wreaths hanging in each window. As a fun kismet moment, Cameron Diaz (the star from The Holiday) was seen wandering the grounds the day of their wedding during set up and just made it all seem meant to be!
As the sun set, guests were welcomed into the reception where shell-colored fabric draped the walls and abundance of florals and candlelight were found sprawling across ribbed wood tables paired with cadet blue velvet linens and lace overlays set with silver sage china. To play along to the advent calendar wall, table numbers were large-scale snowglobe cloches filled with bottlebrush trees and snow. Guest names were hand calligraphed onto blue silk ribbon that draped across the plates, inviting guests to sit and gather. Perhaps the most prominent piece in the room though was the beautiful floral patterned dance floor that we had custom created to replicate the envelope liner from their invitations created by Grey + Cake!
A thoughtfully crafted hanging floral installation filled the ceiling above from Native Poppy with dripping sprays of mistletoe throughout, inviting guests out on the dance floor to give their loved ones a Christmas Kiss. As everyone took to the dance floor to dance the night away they paused for pink champagne cake adorned with rosy red florals and mini desserts that were nestled between evergreen trees placed in front of a fluted backdrop with a custom neon sign with the couple's new last name " The Van-Eerdens" . This backdrop later doubled as a fun photobooth for all in attendance as the couple headed off in the most darling pink and white get away car, named appropriately "the jolly"!
