From Hannah Forsberg… Our theme was Bohemian whimsy with touches of classic romance took to the gardens, frolicking to the courtyard for an intimate candlelit evening with ruffly bunches of florals and soft linens mixed with dramatic tones and textures. Reflective touches of antiquated mirrors were woven throughout their day, as a nod to Morgyn’s love of fashion and the song Mirror Ball, just as pops of rust and terracotta played to Hunter’s motto “If you rest, you’ll rust.”
Our color palette: Neutrals of bone and taupe, greens, terracotta, rust, and touches of rose and merlot to complement the existing blue accents at Grand Gimeno. After celebrating their sealing at Newport Beach’s LDS temple, guests were invited to celebrate at Grand Gimeno, a stunning property nestled in the heart of downtown Orange. They were welcomed into the space with cozy lounges by the fireplace, delicious mocktails, and the smell of warm pizza cooking in the oven. Guests sipped on a Three Kisses lavender lemonade, playing to the way Morgyn + Hunter say goodbye to each other, and a Pinky Promise kiwi strawberry spritzer, a nod to their love of kiwi strawberry capri suns. Guests strolled to the sign-in table, where they gathered inspiration from Hunter’s motto, “If you rest you’ll rust. Come dance with us!” and left their dance floor requests and happy wishes to the newlyweds before they took their seats.
Guests found their seats in the courtyard lined with olive trees and lit with market lights and candles at a mix of black woven tables, caramel velvet draped rounds, and warm wood tables. The tables were dressed with layered gauzy taupe and white fringe runners, black and rust taper candles, black charcuterie boards with red apple touches, and gorgeous florals by Posey Pop with taupe velvet chairs mixed with a pop of orange chairs for the bride and groom to be seated in. An adorable rust-colored 12’ backdrop doubled as a photo moment and dessert display backdrop, with signage at one end saying “You’re like really pretty” with antique handheld mirrors with calligraphy saying “So you agree?” as a nod to the bride’s favorite movie, Mean Girls, and at the other end a gorgeous wedding cake and mini dessert display sat pretty on black rattan shelving via ARCHIVE RENTALS with lots of yummies to snack on throughout the night of dancing and cheer, celebrating Morgyn + Hunter for all to hear!
