From Carmen Santorelli Photography… Chris and I met volunteering in the summer of 2012 when we were both teaching English in Taiwan. After returning home from our summer abroad, we realized we couldn’t stop thinking about each other. We entered into a long distance relationship, until we finally moved to Los Angeles together in 2020. While on a trip to Europe, Chris proposed in Sintra, Portugal, and surprised me with photographers to capture the memories of our engagement.

For our wedding, we wanted our guests to feel appreciated and truly enjoy the day! Our friends and family were traveling from near and far and we wanted each person to feel attended to and cared for. Our planner and coordinator, Catherine Leo and Ashley Sun of CCL Weddings & Events, turned our dreams into a reality, found the perfect venue, and made the whole wedding so personal to us. Modest Peach created a custom bar installation and champagne wall that were beyond our wildest dreams! We have many favorite moments, but the one that stands out the most was the ceremony. With the picturesque Santa Monica Mountains as our backdrop, our wedding ceremony came together flawlessly and we were able to share this moment with all of our close friends and family. Chris and I were overwhelmed with joy throughout the whole day.

It was everything we could have hoped for – and then some! From the champagne wall and the bar, to the flowers and the food, every detail was perfectly executed. Our photographer, Carmen Santorelli Photography, made us feel so comfortable and took special care to capture every detail. David and Aaron, from Focused Journey Media, pour so much passion, care, and love into their work. You genuinely feel like you are working with close friends! We were so appreciative and grateful to be able to work with such an amazing team of talented vendors! Looking back on it all, our wedding day could not have been more perfect.
