From A. Griffin Events... An early spring wedding in the gardens, groves, and halls of Meridian House, Julie and Gage's wedding focused on giving their guests a memorable experience and creating a gorgeous, unforgettable wedding day. From the moment guests enter the drive of Meridian House, it felt as though they've left the busy DC streets for a place of welcoming grandeur. Floral monograms on the front doors greeted guests before they moved through the home to the garden for a flower-filled ceremony on the lawn. After Julie and Gage exchanged vows, the Linden Grove was alive with cocktails, colorful lounge furniture, and live music where guests mingled.
A colorful escort display featured handpainted acrylic tile coasters for each guest to take home. Cocktail hour concluded with a colorful champagne tower featuring handpainted bottles of Veuve Clicquot by the bride. The dining experience had guests enjoying their meals amidst trees hung with lights, and tables filled with the pastel hues of spring. Iridescent chargers and light blue goblets added a modern touch to the Old-World interiors of Meridian House. Color and whimsy reigned supreme from a flower-filled ceremony on the lawn featuring a pastel arch, to cocktail hour in the Linden Grove where their guests sipped libations from a neon and floral bar and relaxed on colorful lounge furniture, to a watercolor tile seating assignment display, the entire space was vibrant and alive like spring should feel.
The wow moments continued as the evening rolled on. An ombre champagne tower, a plated meal underneath trees adorned with floating candles, and a dramatic dessert presentation featuring two wedding cakes - one of them hanging from a chandelier, the other nestled inside a gold carriage. Their live band kept the party going for hours, with the bride changing into a feathered, sequined second dress that was perfect for dancing. Later, Julie and Gage exited Meridian House with sparklers in hand before heading off to their after party to continue their festivities!
