From The Ganeys… Kelsey and Grahame were such a treat to work with! Not only do such great taste, but they also have fun loving personalities. These two are both avid golfers and quickly hit it off after recognizing their mutual interest – so it only seemed appropriate to play into that for their wedding. They got married at a beautiful golf course in Carmel Valley that had Italian-inspired architecture. Their stationery artist created a custom crest for them that was printed or golf balls and used in a fun escort display. For the invitation suite that I got to photograph, they even had the envelope addressed to “Mr. Woods” at the iconic address for Magnolia Lane at Augusta Golf Course. Grahame and Kelsey decided to exchange vows privately after their first look, which I thought was a very sweet moment, allowing them to be fully present with each other. One of my favorite elements of this wedding was the color palette!
Despite it being a summer wedding, Ashley from Palette Events Co + Golden Fields Floristry worked together to pull in some autumn tones and warm neutrals. It turned out beautifully! Kelsey mentioned that one of her favorite parts of the day was, “getting to see all of the design, decor and florals that we spent so many months planning all come alive at the venue. I was truly blown away by how incredible everything looked. Ashley completely nailed our exact vision for the wedding and the whole venue was transformed into a dreamy, romantic, Tuscan summer garden party. One of the highlights of the design/decor was the custom escort display that Ashley designed as a nod to our love for golf. The monogram golf balls and floral print of the display board tied back to our invitation sweet and looked absolutely perfect.”
The couple had such an incredible group of their closest friends in their bridal party, so it made taking all of those group photos that much more fun. They were the biggest hype team of all time and helped keep Kelsey and Grahame at ease the whole day. Everyone nailed their entrance into the reception and it perfectly tee’d up the vibe for the reception. The evening was filled with some heartfelt and hilarious toasts. Kelsey said that the parent dances were, “definitely the most special moment we have ever had with our parents. They were so happy and proud that day, as were we, and those are moments we will get to hold onto forever.” And of course, they had an epic dance party! Everyone was so ready to celebrate Kelsey and Grahame on this next adventure.
