You’ll Never Believe This Romantic Pink Palace Is In South Florida!

Turns out you don’t need a passport to have a wedding fit for a princess! The beautiful Ringling Museum, filled with Italian architecture, was the perfect place for our couple to create a European wedding inspired feel in Florida.  NK Weddings turned our couple’s dream into reality, and Victoria Blooms filled the day with fabulous moments like a chic floral runner dripping down a reception table.   Every inch of this incredible day shines in the imagery by Hunter Ryan Photo, get lost in all the lovely in the full gallery.

From Hunter Ryan PhotoNo passport to Italy needed, this pink palace is in the heart of Sarasota, Florida! Undeniably rich with a romantic history, The Ringling Museum in Sarasota Florida was built with love by John Ringling for his wife Mable. She wanted a home in the Venetian Gothic style of the palazzi in Venice, Italy, with Sarasota Bay serving as her Grand Canal. “It was the only venue we toured and the second we stepped foot on the property we knew it was the one. It was the only venue we wanted to tour – no plan B. My family is Italian and the Italian architecture was a special nod to that family history. I grew up in Tampa by the water and wanted that to be an element,” says the bride.

Christine and Alec’s vision of a classic and elegant wedding set amongst the architecture of the undeniably stunning Ringling Museum was pastel pink romantic perfection. The couple had a waterfront ceremony – blending their Christian and Jewish faiths – with a chuppah dripping in florals, and of course ending with the traditional “breaking of the glass.” What made it even more special is their officiants were their childhood Priest and family Rabbi. NK Weddings effortlessly planned and designed the details and Victoria Blooms put together soft-hued florals that added to the romance of the Ringling courtyard. The ceremony in the courtyard was the soft lush floral garlands of roses, peonies and hydrangea cascaded down the tables.

Special touches the bride noted:

1. I had my grandmothers pouch sewed into my dress as my something blue that she gave me as a child

2. I wore the earrings Alec’s mom wore to her wedding that were gifted to her from Alec’s great grandmother

3. Drinks were French 75 and whiskey sour, it was all really about just having fun – my dads speech was 5 seconds “I love you Christine, I love you Alec – let’s party” and that is the best way to sum it up.
