This beautiful blue and white Chinoiserie-inspired wedding is filled with special touches. Christina Baxter Weddings & Events planned a day filled with the couple’s favorites from late-night Chick-fil-A to a funfetti wedding cake! Blossoms Events turned the indoor reception into a secret garden with lush blooms that seemed to grow from the bar, walls, and ceiling! From Christina Baxter Weddings & Events… Courtney is a New York girl who always dreamt of getting married in the south. Once her and Mitchell got engaged in 2018, they started compiling a list of gorgeous venues in the southeast to visit and hopefully find the right match. The Montage Palmetto Bluff was the perfect setting. Courtney wanted a romantic, elegant garden feel. She really loved the classic blue and white design style, especially Chinoiserie. All of the florals were in blue and white Chinoiserie porcelain vases and jars from Courtney and her mother’s personal collection. It was very important to her to have an impactful bar that anchored the room, with lots of candles to give the room a warmth and glow about it.

From the bride… My mom and I love orchids, she always has orchids in our homes. It has kind of become our thing that a house isn’t a home until you have an orchid in it. So having a big orchid arrangement gave the cocktail hour the homey feel I wanted.

Mitch and I love Chick-fil-A and one time many years ago Mitch had told me he never had it, I made us get into the car and drive 2 hours to the nearest Chick-fil-A so he could try it. We still talk about this being one of our fondest spontaneous date memories together. I LOVE cake! Funfetti is my absolute favorite cake flavor that I’ve had my mom make every year for 27 years for every birthday. Because my 28th birthday was the day before the wedding, I thought what better cake to have than Funfetti on my wedding cake!
