For anyone who hasn’t been to the Hamptons in the Summer, I urge you to make the trip and if you have, you know it is a vibe. From the coastal, colonial homes with overflowing hydrangea bushes to the infinite beautiful beaches and over-the-top themed parties, it is the definition of Summer. And, a late Summer, Hamptons wedding weekend is my dream! To paint the picture, I put together my picturesque ‘quintessential Hamptons’ wedding day mood board – think neutral stripes with blue floral accents, definitely a monogrammed crest and perhaps even a golden retriever running around. The definition of Coastal Grandmother. Like, I said before….make the trip!

I picture a late Summer wedding at a Private Estate in Southampton or Montauk. Well…I envision a well-rounded wedding weekend with a laid-back welcome party surrounding the pool at said private estate, complete with mini lobster rolls, oysters, rosè, etc. For the actual wedding day, exactly what you see above with pale blue floral details, neutral stripes, and light wood + rattan accents. To complete the weekend, a day spent at one of the Hamptons beautiful beaches ending with a bonfire at sunset.
Definitely a private estate! Exactly what you would picture in the Hamptons – a colonial style home with pale wood tones and beautiful landscaping with, of course, hydrangea bushes!
Shades of the Sand + Sea: neutral stripes, blue florals with pale wood, and rattan accents
I envision either a sheath silhouette with a high neck and low back OR an a-line style dress with a big bow detail!
Coastal and elevated yet beachy. I would want guests to feel like they are at a quintessential Hamptons Summer Soiree!
