With view of the Golden Gate, today’s darling couple tied the knot in a floral-centric Spring wedding designed by JBD Events. Nancy Liu Chin knew just the right recipe to bring the couple’s vision to life while allowing the views and natural scenery do most of the talking. From The Bride… My family loves to stay-cation at Cavallo Point and we have just loved the hotel for years. Also we are both major foodies and the food at Cavallo is really top notch. Cavallo was also the perfect mix of not being too far from airports around for out of town guests and SF for local guests while still getting the amazing landscape and the ability to get married outside.
I LOVE flowers and wanted really bright spring feeling flowers but also wanted the natural beauty of the venue to come through. For example not overwhelming the ceremony space with too much and really letting the view do the talking.
Our florist, Nancy Liu Chin, also noticed all the pins I had on Pinterest all had blue linens without me even realizing, haha, so once we noticed we decided to tie in the blue which was a great contrast to the flowers and the space. I also fell in love with a flower piece over the dance floor and Nancy worked overtime to make this work despite the challenges of having something like this in the tent with the weight of the flowers.
For John the most exciting element was the band, Pop Rocks was the one of the first things we booked. We both wanted the dance floor to be packed all night and the band delivered that in spades! For me it was the design all coming together. Julie and Nancy did such a great job taking my ideas and visions and exceeding ALL my expectations!
