Ready for some romance? This California wedding at Sunstone Winery & Villa is overflowing with love. The dreamy day was planned by Sisti & Co., who created a design with an old-world European feel set against the natural beauty of wine country. From the Bride and Groom... Our wedding was impacted by COVID, although we were very fortunate it wasn’t a re-plan (hearts go out to the brides and grooms who were more impacted than we were). Our first test as a couple was patiently waiting until we could anticipate a more safe time to celebrate with all of our special guests – it was unbearable. We contemplated every option from eloping to pushing out until 2022; all while searching for venues and hoping for a vaccine. We were very lucky when we learned that Sunstone Winery & Villa – one of our very first choices – resumed weddings at their Villa as we were about to go with another venue. All of our guests were vaccinated of their own volition, so everybody felt safe, which made us very happy.
We both love France and Italy and everything about old-world European architecture and history (we even contemplated having our wedding there).Sunstone Winery & Villa had everything we wanted: California’s wine country backdrop with an imported European-stone-built Villa, we were sold the minute we stepped foot in the foyer.
We wanted to have a whole wedding weekend where we could spend time with friends and family, the Villa gave us the most incredible location to host everyone. Also, Sunstone Winery & Villa has some amazing wine (try the Viognier or Eros if you ever get the chance).
