Elevate the Coastal Grandmother Aesthetic With This Feminine Jekyll Island Wedding!

Inspired by the hues of a salt marsh just steps away from the Jekyll Island Club Resort, this native-Georgian bride planned her dream wedding day in pale blues, greens, and neutrals – a feminine take on the Coastal Grandmother aesthetic! Take notes because we can’t stop obsessing over the stand-out details of the day – the black and white dance floor and the oyster shell escort display, handmade by the bride’s father, to name a few. Kati Mallory Photo Design captured this elevated classic to perfection, ‘sea’ for yourself in the full gallery!

Jacqueline and Ryan’s wedding took place in Jekyll Island, Georgia. Just a short drive away from Jacqueline’s hometown of Saint Simon Island, Jekyll Island was the perfect place to have their friends and family gather to celebrate the beginning of their marriage. Miraculously, the couple did not use an official wedding planner and instead designed this stunning affair with Jacqueline’s impeccable taste.

The wedding color palette was inspired by the colors of the salt marsh – pale blues, greens, tans and golds – which is located only steps away from Crane Cottage where the ceremony and reception were held. Guests got to experience sunshine and the breeze coming in from the marsh as Jacqueline & Ryan exchanged vows under the Spanish moss blowing in the trees above.

Their reception, held in the gardens of the cottage, featured a classic black and white dance floor and greenery, along with an escort card wall, designed and built by the bride’s father and showcasing oyster shells, that helped guests find their seats before the plated dinner service began.

Overall it was a beautiful spring day on the Georgia coast!
