From the bride… My husband and I met during the spring of 2014. We shared mutual friends and at the time Daniel owned a nightclub in Ventura, Ca with my childhood friend’s husband. It was a Saturday evening, and I had decided to go to the club with my girlfriends and enjoy a night out. That evening Daniel and I were introduced and we quickly began to get to know each other by sharing stories and sharing friendly jokes with one another. Shortly after that night, our summer was filled with many adventures and we became inseparable. After two years of dating, I began nursing school and Daniel moved closer to my parents so we could spend more time together. During that time I moved in, and fast forward to July of 2020, we bought our first home in Woodland Hills, CA. Daniel always showered me with beautiful flowers and a ton of affection. A few days before our big move, Daniel got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, during an intimate and beautiful dinner in our new home. Life seemed surreal at the time. We were in the middle of a pandemic, and somehow he still managed to make our proposal special. Planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic was difficult. There were many uncertainties and changes that had to be made along the way. But the one thing that always remained constant was our love & desire to get married. Oh, and of course, the vision for our big day.

Growing up, I always envisioned my wedding to be adorned with beautiful floral arrangements. I’m talking lots of greenery, flower halos, and hanging greenery from chandeliers. My love for flowers has become more than an obsession. I love, filling my home with fresh flowers, it’s just something that has always brightened up my day. So for the wedding, my inspirations were château vibes, an enchanted garden, whimsical, elegant, and dreamy. When discussing my vision with Daniel, he was so easy going and he always reminded me that he trusted my taste so as not to stress and follow my dream design. Having the support of my husband was so important to me and I knew that as long as there was a great Dj and booze, he was happy with whatever I designed. Moving forward with vendors during the pandemic wasn’t always easy. But I’m so thankful I had the right ones by my side. The venue we chose was Chevy Chase Country Club in Glendale, CA. This place had beautiful views, and the service was exceptional.

Our photographer Mallory Dawn Photography, was amazing! She was so accommodating during the pandemic and her work ethic was exceptional. She truly cared about my vision and made us feel welcomed and comfortable during our engagement shoot and wedding day. Having a photographer that was caring, kind, and paid attention to detail was so reassuring and I knew from the get-go hiring Mallory as one of my vendors was one of the best ideas yet. Our Coordinator Rubén Flores, introduced me to one of the very best florists in the industry IL FLORAL DESIGN by Israel. On the day of the wedding, Israel blew me away. What I always envisioned in my mind was right in front of my eyes. He really outdid himself with his incredible work. Since floral was my main focus of decor I wanted everything else to look polished and elegant but still keep it minimal. My color scheme for the wedding was ivory and blush. Some special touches were our personalized dog napkins, our stunning seating chart & custom-made neon sign done by my father, and a custom gown made by my aunt as my second dress. A sweet touch that my husband surprised me with was our incredible violinist who played during our ceremony. I was lucky enough to travel to NYC to find my dream dress. My wedding gown was by the designer Berta. My veil and detachable skirt were also custom-made by my aunt. For heels, I wore Rene Caovilla & Aquazzura. Daniel wore a Tom Ford custom-made suit with Christian Louboutin Loafers. Looking back on this special day, everything was extremely magical & intimate. Being able to create this beautiful day with our amazing vendors and share it with my husband, family & friends is something I will always cherish and will forever be close to my heart.
