Floral-Centric Inspiration in Full Bloom at Savannah’s Historic Bellwether House

Refined and timeless with a hint of the ‘unexpected’ was the creative direction for this styled shoot at Savannah’s historic Bellwether House. Allison Event Design expressed the feeling of abundant romance with garden-inspired patterns. From the bride’s hand-painted floral gown and her cascading white rose bouquet by Jardinière Events to the curated tablescape, this real couple’s love story was surrounded by blooms. From Allison Event Design… When dreaming up this photoshoot, I wanted to pull together the ‘unexpected’ elements. Overall, we aimed to curate a look that was abundant and romantic, while also being refined and timeless. We love that couples are opening themselves up to making their day their own and truly about themselves. At Allison Event Design, we love working with couples that enjoy adding in

traditions and details about their love story, to fully bring it to life.

Here we have a gorgeous bride in a hand-painted dress and embroidered veil full of life and color. She is celebrating their love and not afraid to show their closest family and friends her boldness. We’ve paired it with a traditional white and green bouquet, but large and draping to add to the dramatics. Her groom is in a classic tux adding to the elegance and timelessness of the evening. They are happy throughout the photos, laughing and excited for this next chapter of their lives together.

The design tells the story of how their love started simple. The front steps have the added touch of florals but are simply stating that love is starting here at home. In the back courtyard, the table is lush and full. Their love has grown over time through the simple, delicate details and moments. Inspired by some of the most beautiful gardens in the world, we played with a layering of colors, textures and patterns to bring an organic yet refined feel to the tablescape. Bringing the sense of design and intentionality to the shoot was paramount to ensure their blossoming love story was conveyed and consistent, just as we are with all our couples’ stories.
