Romantic Elegance All The Way At This Rancho Bernardo Inn Wedding

Greenery, candles, and tons of romance make this Rancho Bernardo Inn wedding a must-see.  Events by Talissa brought our couple’s big day dreams to life by keeping elegance at the forefront, with special touches like an ornate mirror seating chart and menus pressed with a wax seal.  Carla Kayes Floral Design designed blooms in white and soft ivory to put an exclamation mark on the day.  Every magical moment was beautifully captured in the imagery by Mallory Dawn Photography, visit the full gallery to fall in love with every detail.

From the Bride… Mike and I met through our mutual friends when Mike was visiting San Diego from Baltimore. This was not your typical love at first sight meeting. It was the middle of March Madness and at a local San Diego bar. Mike was rooting for Gonzaga and me, being competitive in nature, was already annoyed since most of my family had chosen Gonzaga to win the bracket. Fast forward six months later to that same mutual friend’s wedding, and by the request of the bride, Mike asked me to dance. As the night went on, we found out we shared a lot in common including our heritage and our similar sense of humor. After about a year of long-distance dating, nonstop conversations, and fun vacations, Mike picked up his life and made the move to San Diego. I soon realized that I had found my forever with Mike.

In the Fall of 2020, Mike pulled off a surprise engagement at our favorite place the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Growing up in Rancho Bernardo it was always a dream of mine to get married there. With the sentiment of my Aunt and Uncle being married there as well; and the importance it held in Mike and I’s love story, it was the obvious choice for location. In comes our phenomenal wedding planner, Talissa Arcangeli of Events by Talissa, who set up the rest. We knew we wanted a romantic, elegant vibe, with lots of greenery, candles, and white and ivory colors.

Our florist, Carla Kayes of Carla Kayes Floral Design, came through the most beautiful natural green archway, and tables full of ivory, champagne, and white arrangements. I had always envisioned bridesmaids in black, and the groomsmen wore deep gray suits. For my gown, I stuck to a simple lace off-white and off-the-shoulder, BHLDN gown. A clean and elegant look was extremely important to us, so we decided on medallion-backed wooden chairs, different shaped rectangle and circle tables, and a non-seamed dance floor. The menus and invitations all included a wax seal, and the seating chart and welcome sign were made from mirrors. The day was everything we could have ever wanted, and we are SO thankful that Mallory Dawn Photography was able to capture it. We cannot thank our vendors enough for making this day so perfect and beautiful!
