This elegant wedding, set on the outskirts of Edinburgh, is fit for a princess. Cara at Katrina Otter Weddings planned the divine day filled with timeless touches and tons of charms. Joseph Massie created magic with his floral installations, from a stunning ceremony to white blooms and lush greenery transforming the reception space into a magical meadow. Every incredible moment was artfully captured in the imagery by Jacob and Pauline Photography and Films. You can visit the full gallery for a closer look at all the lovely.
From Cara Ching at Katrina Otter Weddings… Doori and Conor’s August 2021 wedding was a romantic, timeless, and breathtakingly elegant affair, set against the enchanting and historical backdrop of Hopetoun House, Scotland’s finest stately home on the outskirts of Edinburgh. A timeless aesthetic and palette of whites and greens were interwoven throughout the day, which was expertly captured both by Jacob and Pauline Photography and Films and Zade Films.
Working alongside the team from Joseph Massie the décor and florals were light and whimsical, whilst still retaining an element of formality, the perfect accompaniment to Hopetoun’s neutral walls and hanging tapestries. Doori and Conor’s ceremony took place in The Stables, with a wildly romantic and highly stylized deconstructed arch of fluffy gypsophila, dainty British grown cosmos, and ammi majus forming the backdrop for their vows. Royal Scottish National Orchestra quartet accompanied Doori, in her Suzanne Neville gown, as she entered the room. Canapés and drinks were served under Hopetoun’s grand colonnades, with guests than making their way into the Adam Ballroom for an afternoon feast.
FromJoseph Massie… I honestly don’t know what gets me more: might it be the endless meadows adorning the tables, each bursting with garden roses, sweet peas, and hydrangeas? Maybe it’s the classical, verdant urn, spilling forth from the center of the room with exhaustingly long branches of green rosehip, cosmos, and gathered foliages? Is it the impeccable Georgian architecture of the space, providing the perfect almost-blank canvas, but with just a little character too? Or… maybe it’s a little bit of everything, brought together by the impeccable care and attention bestowed upon every aspect of this wedding – supplied by the ever-wonderful Cara at Katrina Otter Weddings. Following dinner, signature cocktails and dessert canapés were served, with an evening of show-stopping fireworks from 21CC Group, floor-filling Ceilidh from Rerr Terr via Entertainers Agency, and live music from Stereobeats (with a tear-jerking father-daughter dance).
