An Intimate All White Wedding With Tons Of Heartwarming Touches

This California wedding is sure to tug on your heartstrings.  After setting a date in 2020 our bride was faced with both breast cancer and losing her beloved father.  Ever the fighter, three years later she decided on an all-white wedding as a nod to new beginnings with a beautiful homage to her Dad incorporated into the ceremony.  Palette Events Co planned and designed the picture-perfect day, and Soul Flower Design Studio filled it with lush and romantic white blooms.  Evey magical moment was elegantly captured in the imagery by Carlie Statsky, visit the full gallery for a closer look.

From the bride… There were 3 years and 4 months in between our engagement and actual wedding and this was not the plan. After picking a 2020 date and gearing up for what we thought would be a small 70-person Calistoga wedding we eased into wedding planning. Unfortunately, those plans took a backseat when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and urgently had to start undergoing treatment. What should have been the best year of my life turned into my own personal nightmare. A year of weekly clinical trial treatments, surgeries, infections, quarantining, chemotherapy, the hospitalization of my father, burning of our original wedding venue, and ultimately my Dad’s unexpected passing.  When the dust settled, we realized that what mattered to us more than throwing a huge party was celebrating our love and those that had loved us so truly through the past year. In our search for a new venue, we wanted something intimate, elegant, and timeless. I had always loved the look of an all-white wedding and it felt right especially for all we’d been through. A nod to new beginnings everything fresh and beautiful.

We created touches to nod to the things that mattered the most to us. Montage Healdsburg let us personalize the wines to include wineries we love to visit. Our wedding planner Ashley Brand of Palette Events Co was our officiant because after 3 years we are not just customers we’re life long friends. We included our two fur babies Maverick and Milton with signature drinks and photos on napkins. Most importantly my Dad’s chair in the front row.

The night was nothing short of magical and the perfect dinner party for 17 family and friends. The best gift was the image our photographer Carlie Statsky captured of what we know is my Dad walking me down the aisle.
