It’s official! We’ve found the definition of elegance — and you’ve guessed it, it’s this magical and much anticipated day at La Zagaleta in Spain. Carolina and Tim worked with Sophie Kors and Pedro Navarro to add all the special details to these sun-soaked nuptials. Framed by luxe greenery and soft florals, these memories are sure to last a lifetime. With every breathtaking photo from Volvoreta Studio in the full gallery, you are destined to fall in love!

From Volvoreta Studio… Spain is a perfect country to celebrate a wedding for many reasons such as its climate, its gastronomy or its wedding venues and if this wedding is in the South of Spain, we have a guaranteed success.

Carolina and Tim are a couple who live in Stockholm, Sweden. Although the bride is Spanish and she always wanted to get married in Marbella, a town on the Costa del Sol surrounded by hills and with wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea. In Spain we were coming out of the pandemic and for that reason the guest list was very small, making it a wedding of only 21 people.

The couple tied the knot at La Zagaleta, a truly exclusive Resort and Country Club living enviroment set within a former hunting estate that make up 900 hectares of valleys, wooded, hills and natural beauty spots in a magnificent location between mountain and sea.

The bride contacted Sophie Kors Weddings, the wedding planners company in charge for the organization and design of this wedding. Carolina wanted a very romantic wedding, with lots of flowers and a good catering, and the Sophie Kors team executed it to perfection.

“We could not imagine having gone through this experience without them, or the infectious spirit and artistry of our incomparable photographer Jimena San Miguel of Volvoreta, who by the end of it all felt like family”

The entire stationery was designed by Colino Estudio, from the invitation, the calligraphed name tags and menu card.

Dani Garcia catering was responsible for the wedding gastronomy. The Spanish chef with 3 Michelin stars elaborated a haute couture menu, paired with the best Spanish wines such as Vega and Sicilia from Ribera del Duero.

For the ceremony the bride wore a very original Rosa Clará model in dusty pink and jeweled shoes by Sophia Webster.

The stylist Sonia Marina was in charge for the natural makeup and the low bun with a big rose, giving it a very Spanish style ( Like a flamenco dancers)

Pedro Navarro was the floral decorator of this intimate wedding.

His team used two large clay jars filled with wild flowers to guide the bride and her grandfather to the wedding aisle (Roses, saffron flower, arenaria, chamomile…) Then in the ceremony area he designed a half moon of flowers that surrounded the bride and groom.

For the banquet we used a long wooden table without tablecloth, where all the rental material was from Pedro Navarro, carved glasses, alpaca cutlery … And on top of this table was placed a garland of flowers that we made down from the table to the floor as a floral cascade.

On top of this long table where all the guests were seated, we placed crystal lamps that made the whole decoration much more romantic.

The bride changed her dress for a Monique Lhuillier dress in pink tones and LK Bennett shoes for the banquet.

After dinner the guests enjoyed fun cocktails created especially for the wedding by chef Dani Garcia and were able to dance “al fresco” until the early hours of the morning. That’s the great thing about having a wedding in the South of Spain, its temperature is so pleasant that it’s a pleasure to be dancing until the sunrise.
